Auction site that disappeared

Years ago, I looked at a business model with some partners similar to betbidder (NOTE: I deplore the penny auction model since it essentially a scam (plenty of links to articles on-line for those that play them). 

In the new year, they put up "partners" as bookies including betfair.  This surprised me.

Anyways, March, their site went down for "refurbish". 

Curious to know if they have closed shop since someone that I deal with had doubts about their legality to operate.
