Has anyone noticed that refunds are now flagged as
being from Betfair?

Previously they showed as "Refund to Card",
which suited me fine.

Lately they show as "Refund from Betfair Refunds".

Just wondering, why they have changed it, as I would really prefer it if they were anonymous.

I never withdraw round amounts so they are easy to
tie up with my records.

I will e-mail them, I think, to ask the question!

You mean credit card statements?

Bank Statements always have been 'Betfair:London' as far as i know.

Nope!

I don't fund my accounts with credit cards!

I am thinking that, maybe, you are outside of the UK.

I have:
SPORTING EXCH CLIE
for a bank transfer
and
BETFAIR REFUNDSCD 0046
for a debit card
Hope that helps.

people actually withdraw money from here?

OK....let's be specific (if it makes any difference)!

My issue, at the moment, relates to an account with  Barclays Bank.

I can understand that, for some reason, different banks may
show transactions in a different way.

Just wondering why it recently changed.

I don't know if this is related, but a £500 withdrawal I made from BF on the 13th has just shown up as a £500 payment to betfair on my bank statement. till it gets sorted out I'm effectively a grand down.

might be sensible to hold off on withdrawals for a while in case they've made some change that's fvcked up their systems.

What bank are you with? I withdrew to Natwest on 14th and it's fine, been credited. Hopefully just a one off and not the start of more troubles.

natwest. gonna have to waste my saturday morning sorting it out, and possibly go overdrawn for the first time in 23 years.

less than thrilled, tbh.

just go down there and cause a fuss, they will not charge anything for the overdraft then and usually get it sorted. Its the people that just accept what they say and accept the charges that they love. They dont love people that won't take their crap.

Good luck.

cheers rod. don't worry, if it doesn't get sorted out a fuss is very much on the agenda.
