To Be Placed dilemma

I was trading a horse to be placed and made a few losing trades so it ended up being -£18 odd, but the horse didn't place, so I don't quite understand how I've lost £18.

Any ideas?

you redded out for a £18 loss whatever the result is more than likely the case
