Betwet - whilst I am happy for you to have your say make sure you check up whether I know anything about the casino industry (and the different games) before you make comments to suggest I have no idea. Trust me I am very experienced in the casino industry [;)] - and have seen all sorts of things happen.
The idea that everyone loses in a casino is nonsensical and only really comes about from people that have no idea nor have spent time supervising the tables games (ie: watching the change in the profitability of the table throughout a 24 hour even 7 day period). There are some big winners and losers just like you have on here in any of the markets BF provide (including your football). What factor you appear to laugh at is timing. Timing is in relation to when you decide to realise a profit as opposed to outright cheating on a casino game. Timing I believe is such a critical thing when it comes to 'gambling' no matter what sport or casino game. Timing is inherent in the decisions we make and as such are based on our own judgements - do I trade out of a position to lock a profit after a goal, do I trade out to minimise a loss, do I walk away with £25 profit from the craps table at the local casino table or do I decide to continue until I reach £50 or simply go bust. Like anything some people are better than others at applying the notion of "timing" to their betting. It is funny - roulette has a house advantage of around 2.7% (European AR) so the expectation is a loss of £2.70 for £100 bet while you seem think betting on a game of football at odds which you have no way of knowing (until the result is known) whether the odds is a true reflection of what is going to occur. ie: odds are 2.25 for Team A yet you decide to bet or not - not knowing exactly the true odds should be. That I am afraid is where 'timing' comes into it - something you seem to dismiss without a thought. |
