Read this thread last night and not gone through it all again but picking up on one point which I think I remember correctly.

Lori, agree, in the main, with your view on the 14% ROI. But, if you are capable of picking out enormous value bets then it will skew your ROI up - so maybe it's not as bad a thing as it sounds. e.g. if you look for 5% minimum value but find 25% on a vaguely regular basis then your ROI will be higher than necessarily sounds ideal. Obviously finding 25% is tricky but I'm sure some people can do so with a not insignificant number of their bets. To take it to the extreme, it's theoretically possible to achieve 14% even if your minimum point of entry is 1%. Like I say, it's theoretical, markets are generally tight enough these days to make that very difficult. And there are much more likely to be enough thin value bets to bring the ROI down.

But the question is, what should one be aiming for? There's no right answer as such. I think the important issue is the minimum point of entry. I look for 5% but wonder if I should lower that in the markets I'm most confident and have a lot more smaller bets.

Fair reasons. Can't argue with that tbf.
