BT home hub problem

Wolf I cant help you because im not very technical but I think when this happened to me it was something to do with proxy settings.

tools- internet options - connections

maybe someone can help you from there

Is it wifi? Your wifi settings may have a check box 'connect automatically to this router if available' or similar.

I downloaded something to do with O2 broadband the other day and this could be the problem

I have now shut down the wi fi connection manager so will see if this does the trick

What operating system are you using?

If it's to do with the O2 download doing a restore should solve it.

Yes its definately to do with that download.Wish i had never bothered.

If you have 2 or 3 days to spare, why not ring the BT helpline.

Well just try uninstalling it? Having more than one wifi controlling software might certainly cause issues.
I know on a relations computer it had two and it kept making the correct one drop the connection.
It sounds like it's not BTs problem.

It may well be the O2 broadband is now the (unworking) default internet connection or something.

I think you are right there jc as it seeme to be trying to connect my pc to an address thats not my home hub.do not use wi fi very often anyway so will try uninstalling now

uninstalled o2 and switched PC back on and hey presto instant connection as normal.job done.thanks guys for your help and comments
