Watch Small Expenses: Warren Buffett invests in businesses run by managers who are obsess over the tiniest costs... Exercising vigilance over every expense can make your profits -- and your paycheck -- go much further.
You should never lose respect for money undern, think about it in the long term (those tiny things add up in time) £1 every day for 10 years equals around £3,650 with a compounded interest of 2.5% its £4,086 (over a working life of 40 years that number rises to £24,705) small things add up!! |

For **** sake - where do some of these posters come from. This for me is a bit of time out from my main focus (Horse Laying).
So Lusitano71 - if you feel that the "pennies count" then I assume you don't go out for dinner, you drink water instead of alcohol, naturally you walk instead of drive and of course you would never gamble at the risk of losing your pennies. What are you doing on this forum when you decided to stop paying the electricity bill to save a few more pennies. |
By:
wow this thread got tasty. intelligent comments all round though
|
By:
you made the point for me regarding what i wrote, all things you mentioned are things of life, i need to eat, i need to move from one place to another, i need to have a social life and i do drink alcohol sometimes, i pay my electricity because i need it...now.. what i dont need is to make stupid challenges on what it is supposed to be my profession and blind betting for the sake of it and call it "time out" and i risk my pennies every day for more than 300 days a year but with that risk well measured
so have fun burning your money away [;)] |
By:
to be fair isn't it up to undern what he does with his money?
are you a professional gambler lusitano? |
By:
you're right it is up to him what he does with is money but i also have the right to call him stupid for doing it
here it is another example of what stupid people do, i mean in the same category of undern LONDON (AP)--One summer evening in 2002, six bankers celebrated a business deal with dinner at a London restaurant. Several hours and three bottles of Chateau Petrus later, they had run up a bill of more than GBP44,000 (US$92,000) - according to ****ss World Records, the most expensive meal per capita ever. It is unlikely that they are still celebrating. Five of the diners - employees of Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC (BCS) - have reportedly lost their jobs, and the sixth is keeping a low profile. and we wonder how people like this brought world economy to its knees...its because of dumb "new-rich" stupid people that have no respect for money last time posting here |
