Another poor days racing and nothing worth backing at prices so once again comes down to a small trade on AD VITAM,had to cut out his own pace last time out and they didn't go quick enough as once headed by them all stayed on agaon.He's already beaten the fav a little bit dusty at wolves although now slightly worse off at the weights and a line through malice or mischief puts very little between them.The two other runners have to prove they stay so 9/1 with B.FRED is a decent price to trade if i thought there was guaranteed pace on i'd back it but as there isn't this will just be a pre race trade.Still waiting for a few more books to come up but think 9s will be biggest.

Al gillani lowest mark for 3 three years won 2/7 over c/d and has been running on well last few runs has beating of jungle bay at the weights from the 12th of feb and if you look at garstsangs time from the 12th at these weights should beat that as well.Got  a big weight pull with best trip from an earlier run in the season and also a weight pull with sherjawy that should be enough,pelmanism similar to al gillani was unlucky hampered like al gillani on the 19th of feb in same race maybe little between them.At some point before the aw season ends al gillani must win so i'm just going to back it over its next runs,the thing that puts me off today slightly is the draw as last time it had a poor draw here it just ran to free trying to go with the pace and it hasn't won for two seasons but off this mark think its just a matter of time.It's 7/1 with
sky bet and if does no good today i'll be having a decent bet on it whatever on its runs over the next 4 weeks.

Everything that was up with the pace at wolves won on monday so far view drawn 2 and maybe some improvement to come looks the most likely winner with the dangers such as simple rhythm drawn wide (12).
Simple ryhthm like al gillani looks ready to win and runs off al time low mark and looks one for the next few runs when it gets a decent draw,Far views time was ok at lingfield and had misaro 2 1/2ls back,misaro had previously run well over 6fs in a far better race than this behind norville also loyal royal in this grade is a good benchmark.

A few i've got marked off for the following month a few of these should win and some will be decent prices so i'd expect them to be showing a profit at least.

You won't see a more blatant non trier than this when ridden by ryan moore on the  28th of october dropped out over 7fs full of running at the 2f pole but poor attempt with shake of reigns this stood out a mile and has been in the notebook for ages.It's last two runs have been over 6fs and purely the lack of pace foir such good quality races has been its undoing,this time last year won off 87 by 5ls over 6fs at wolves and one race later was second off 95 to secret asset,he's only run 11 times on the aw won 3 second twice and third once you ignore the moore run and all his runs here have been decent.Impossible not to back in future runs looking at course record at lingfield especially as he's so versatile i wouldn't be surprised to see him stepping up to a mile and will be backing this over the next month,the last few runs should have ensured a decent price.

Two from the same race on the 23rd of february at kempton over 1m3fs this season there have been no stand out times of any description especially amongst the 3yr olds then suddenly this race class 6 maiden clocked up 2m18.08 fast by 0.92 seconds faster than any race on the card.

Although not keeping track of times over the trip at kempton this seasson i can't remember any race for a long time being anywhere near this had a quick look at a few results last season and saw that last march dansilli dancer(99)won by 6ls in 2m17.20 beating king olav(beat dirar and fox hunt at kempton on thurday)and although they were carrying only 8-5 would be impossible to back against them on the aw at least.They could be decent

totally unexpected these performances as mentioned they stand out as nothing times wise has stood out this season.

Hasn't won for two seasons but the run behind brave echo was very eye catching absolutely full of running and was the one to take from that race forms been franked again by brave echo,hazzard county and ocean legend it looks like this fella needs to be held up off a strong gallop to see him at his best.His next run at wolves chased the pace over 7fs and finished last,after that run the price should represent value as you can put a line through that form certainly worth giving a couple of chances on that formline.

This gelding could turn out to be pretty handy for tony carroll on debut a complete non trier passing horses at will then returning to 7fs which now looks to short for it,september 2010 was only beaten 4ls by hajoum rated now 101 running on strongly over the 7fs at wolves medicean man was second now off 95,celtic sultan third now off 90 and jordaura nearest at the finish.That run was off 84 he now sits on 77 certainly one to bare in mind over the coming weeks off this falling mark

Another speculative runner bit its all about prices relative to chances,lightly raced 4yr old again coming down the weights was rated 81 two seasons ago now on a mark of 68,the run on 29th of december looks good with clear praise and having recent winners best trip and ivory silk behind the field spread out.The run that really stands out though is when beaten 4ls behind jack rackham missing the break and numerous times hampered but still running on after all that interference to show a good attitude.Next time out front running tactics a line can be put through that race and although

could be a bit of a dodgepot prices will compensate as it will be to big.

Bit of a speculative one but i like the run behind brave echo on the 8th of jan really the first but of form this gelding had shown in a while but since has

run poorly again,that day behind brave echo there was adecent pace on and with brave echo and hazzard county both looking like very good formlines at the likely prices its worth having a speculative bet on this as the aw season ends.I think when there's some guaranteed pace on will be the time to bet as the recent clamier was a farce and since that run behind brave echo has dropped another 5 pounds,a mark this fella hasn't seen for 5 years.Got to be worth a little ew in handicaps!!

CHARLES PARNELL



Now sitting on his lowest ever mark and really the main reason for this is noora looby the horse although i think is not running to its best even though she's claiming 7 pound it actually looks 10 pound worse off with her on it twice this season looking like it just needed a decent jock and wouldv'e been involved in both finishes at swell.Won off 64 last season at swell back there off its current mark of 57 all time low,certainly worth backing if staintons on board especially as these races are so weak,will be backed i would imagine as well!!!

RESENTFUL ANGEL



Very frustrating this one as its hand has been shown and i'd got this down for future races after its run behind lay claim after a 3 month lay off,if you look at its form towards the end of last season was 4th to conduct off 87 beaten 3 1/2ls since its rise over the 70 mark has never been beaten further than 3 1/2ls in ten runs apart from the one run on soft ground.The comeback run behind lay claim was visually impressive as was 10ls off the pace which was decent finishing full of running,today suits me was able to dictate a false pace totally against this mare and yet she showed a great attitude to not be done for turn of foot.Looks improver and step up in trip will help hard to put a figure on her but i can see her winning in the 90s and also perhaps on turf today she looked as good as anything in that race the ay it was run.

PEGASUS AGAIN



Pegasus again down to its lowest mark for 18 months showed it was back in form at kempton strangely sitting off the pace and not even ridden out to be close up 4th to big bay beaten 1/2length extremely eyecatching,Today was blatant ahern dropping it out strange tactic for a front runner and it looks blatant that its going to be aimed at some handicaps in the next few runs,again it will be overpriced relative to its chance,should be winning off this mark before this seasons out.It may even knock up a sequence off current mark.

SIR NOD

Has won twice after breaks of 5 months and six months off marks of 69 and 71 so was interesting on this years debut with similar break,missed the kick and from that point had no chnce but if you watch the race was full of running coasting in midfield and proving all the ability is still there even at the age of 9.With a decent draw can't see why he won't run well of his curreent mark especially as these races are so weak at the moment with very few improvers.

Stoneacregareth winning by 6ls but more interestingly the time of 1m24.68 which is decent when you consider the horse was eased and only running off 45,later on the card double carpet won off 63 in 1m25.17 beating horses rated in the 70s yet the race was .49 seconds slower than the 45 rated

fella and he was carrying 3 pound more than double carpet..Presuming he doesn't bounce he should be able to win a couple more if he is back to his best was rated 75 at one point.

Uddy mac on mark of 54 in the 4.10 two thirds off 60 and 62 last season in may and slightly better races than these,the third behind amity and piddies power looks different class as the second piddies power has won off 68 and beat the multi winner hulcote rose.Two more seconds one to kate skate and had tsar bomba behind thats recently won off 57 at swell,the other a maiden second to khandaq form not really worked out.
Today uddy macs off 54 and its third was after a 10 month break,the most interesting thing is its pedigree related to loads of winners and on dirt and another thing i can see punters latching onto nicky bycrofts last 3 runners over hurdles have come 2/1/1,its 20/1 with most firms the two favs stand out but i can see this being backed looking at the trainer form.May even see some bigger prices as not all the books up yet,hopefully a nice trade.

The couple of negatives when he ran the track was riding a lot slower than it is now and a large majority of horses that have run well on the slower surface,havn't performeed now its quicker,the other this horse was running all over the place and looked to be a thinker for those reasons can only be a small bet.

Purely to trade pre race grudge strictly at the weights cant beat incomparable but the race itself is impossible,but grudge runs well when the surface seems to be quicker as it is at the moment.Has already finished infront of  sloob johnb in a claimer 14/1 and is better off at the weights.Island legend 5/1 beat it 2 1/2ls now ten pounds worse off with grudge yet priced up at 5s now dropped to 69 won off 68 earlier this season has luke morris on board could easily see this being backed,unlikely it will win but at 20/1 definitely worth a trade pre race.May even be bigger in the morning but with luke morris on board could be overbet!!

Reasonable debut as 2 yr old field of miracles running on 4th at newmarket in october,related to sour mash this filly could be half decent.The time of her newmarket run was ok compared to the older horses on the card as well,slight off putting thing is gosdens had a few beat over the last ten days all at short prices.

Ran today at donny and the time of the race compared favourably with the two 7f handicaps,firebeams maiden was run in 1m26.06 exactly the same time as the handicap won by 79 rated lord aeryn and the following handicap won by king of eden 1m25.91.Firebeam was given a lovely introduction by fallon,one crack and allowed to come home without being punished,with improvement to come and looking at the times firebeam looks a mid 80's horse already,so for the near future a maiden should be a formality and will be interesting to see how much it actually improves for handicaps.

The only progressive horse in the race la fortunata 12/1 chandlers,only been unplaced once out of its last 7 runs and that was its last run of the season.Two cracking runs at epsom when second to cape royal recently second there in a far better race than this,everything in behind was rated in the high 80s.The previous race to that 2nd of 16 to monsieur joe most of the runners in that race were in the 90s and high 80s and purely because it hasn'tb had a run its a trade as the 12/1 looks massive.

Pegasus again maybe shouldv'e won here when 4th behind big bay off 78,fanning not given it the greatest ride runs tonight off all time low with the claimer taking off 3 pound finished behind chilli green thats 8s as opposed to the 20s for pegasus in tonights race.With a clearer run and better ride wouldv'e beaten chilli green .Been given a few suspect rides over the months since december,it also has the third fastest time at the track at the weights,at 20/1 can see money for this if they're having ago.Will certainly be watching this over the next few weeks.
