Anyone have this problem with any bookmaker lately,I had a large enough bet on cork to win all-ireland football with john wall bookmakers last april,he is based in wicklow,I have been constantly fobbed off by him,when I eventually got a cheque off him in november the cheque bounced,I have been constantly ringing him and he keeps saying he"ll pay me but now I"ve heard he"s closed his shops and surprise surprise he now wont answer me.Does anyone have any advice for me what I should do next,I will not let it go
Gambling debts are legally recoverable, and even if they weren't, the fact that he has given you a bounced cheque would be enough to take action. I had a quick look at his website, it's not working. Which could well mean he is in trouble.
