Utd game Away.

How many times have Man utd scored 4 or more away this season. The answer is 0%. The key here is that unqoted in the game against Birmingham was 8.4 to lay at ko.

How many shots on Goal do Man Utd Average per game?

Answer 8.

What % of the shots on goal (SOT) do they convert away?

Answer 0.25 so the average is 2 goals per every 8 shots on target.

How many shots on goal do they need to average to score 4 away?

Answer  16.

How many times have they had more then 10 shots on goal in a game this season.

Answer

0%.

At home their average is higher at just over 0.3. They have managed to score 4 goals or more in only one game. 7-1 v Blackburn.

On average this still means that they would require 13 shots on goal to get an average of 4 goals in a game.

The only game that went against this was against Blackburn where they had 9 SOT and scored 7.

Last night against BIRMINGHAM they had 4 shots on goal and scored the expected ONE goal.

i will be looking at tonights game later.

It is possible to trade games In running with the shot expectation and SOT expectation and actual shots and SOT as a game progresses.

Man UTD average 15 shots per game

how many shots did they have last night?

Answer 14.

so in summary they did their average number of shots (nearly) but fell short in their number of average shots on target.

If there is anyone out there that is trading the markets based on SOT and shots on goal then please contact me if you dont mind sharing information.

If you look at Man utd goal to shot ratio it is 0.125  away so they need to average 32 shots to score 4 goals.

How many times have Man Utd had 32 shots or more in a game?

Answer 0%

Most shots this season is 22.

Against Blackburn where they won 7-1 they only had 17 shots which makes the 7 goals stand out as the ratio was 0.4.(average just under 0.2 at home)

You can apply this to Chelsea away as well as they have a similar goal to shot ratio away.

They have only scored 4 or more goals away once. 6-0 at wigan with 11 shots and goal expectation should have been 1.35 (0.125*11) but in this game the goal to shot ratio was 0.54.

CHELSEA V BOLTON SHOT AND SOT ANALYSIS.

Average shots per game Chelsea-17
                       Bolton- 14

SOT Average
chelsea-9
Bolton -8

GOAL TO SHOT RATIO AVERAGE
CHELSEA -0.15 HOME
BOLTON  -0.15 AWAY

SHOTS ON TARGET TO SHOT RATIOS AVERAGE
CHELSEA -0.53 HOME
BOLTON  -0.55 AWAY

GOAL TO SHOT ON TARGET (SOT) AVERAGE
CHELSEA -0.25 HOME
BOLTON  -0.30 AWAY

question how many goals do Chelsea average at Home?

Answer=2.25.

it so happens that Chelsea have a SOT of 9 and goal to SOT OF 0.25 AT HOME. 0.25*9=2.25Laugh

What is the unquoted price in the game tonight?

Answer 4.7-4.8

How many shots do Chelsea need to have + SOT to stand a chance of 4 or more goals.

Answer is 27 shots on goal and 16 shots on target.

they beat Blackpool 4-0 and  had 28 shots on goal but only 8 shots on target moving the SOT RATIO up to 0.5.

They beat Wba 6-0 and had 19 shots on goal and 12 on target making the SOT 0.5...

Summary

I am not saying lay the Unquoted but there is no value backing it at 4.7.

Sadly i have no skills in the bot area but i imagine for the game tonight you could set up a bot which trades based around the shots or lack of shots as the game progresses.

Is this just league matches because West Ham beat them 4-0 in the league cup. Not sure what unq odds were but if this is all utd away matches then it would have taken a hit there.

Goal to shot ratio
Arsenal 0.14 AWAY
wigan   0.05 THE WORST AT HOME IN THE LEAGUE

GOAL TO SOT AVERAGE
ARSENAL 0.22 AWAY
WIGAN 0.11 THE WORST AT HOME IN THE LEAGUE

Arsenal average goals scored away is 1.66. 0.22*10=2.2.

Scored 4+ goals away once this season.

MANAGED 20(7) at Villa so lucky to get 4 in that game.

Wigan have leaked 4+ goals in two games.

Chelsea did 11(8) and the unpredictable Blackpool did 10(6)

Wigan average goals conceded at home is 1.88.

Wigan average goals scored 0.88 at home.

In this game arsenal to keep a clean sheet looks interesting. 2.24

On paper Wigan need 20(10) just to score.

another point of interest in the Chlesea game is the over 2.5 goal market.

Chelsea at home Matches under 2.5 goals 62%
Bolton away Matches under 2.5 goals  67%

But we have overs at 1.69 so that cannot be value.

Why ?

What I mean Why should we ASSUME this seasons unders / overs is the ONLY basis to price

Be careful Jonny.

Last season Man Utd scored 4+ goals away from home 4 times (21% of their away games)

In game 1 they had 13 shots
In game 2 they had 14 shots
In game 3 they had 16 shots
In game 4 they had 20 shots

Not to mention the fact that if you're expecting 2 Man Utd goals, then 8.4 looks biggish (and you've got the 4+ Birmingham goals as a freeroll)

The truth of course is that this is WAY too small a sample.

Ft Liverpool underpeform on the SOT but manage their average number of shots per game.

liverpool 13(3) 0 goal . on average this would have given 0.75 of a goal so did not do enough to score. Enough shots but not accurate enough.

Wolves 8(2) 1 goal . on average this would give 0.5 of a goal.

If you look at Man utd goal to shot ratio it is 0.125  away so they need to average 32 shots to score 4 goals.

I would suspect the goal to shot ratio will, on average, be higher in high scoring games. You don't seem to have taken this into account?
