Hi,

I have the following bets on the 2010 f1 drivers championship. I have been backing and laying and prior to laying off some of my exposure I had a balance of 0 in my betfair account.

I now have a balance of 102.97 in my account. Could you explain how this figure has been calculated based on the below bets?

I can see a way they have got back to 102.97 but the logic doesn't quite make sense to me. Anything I'm missing?

BACKS (AVE ODDS, STAKE, PROFIT)
Fernando Alonso    2.93    £77.31    £149.15
Sebastien Vettel    3.05    £7.94    £16.28
Lewis Hamilton    7.41    £37.25    £238.70

LAYS (AVE ODDS, BACKER'S STAKE, LIABILITY)
Fernando Alonso    1.73    £123.00    £89.57

Presumably you reduced your biggest red figure by £102.97 when you layed off.

You don't say in what order you placed the bets .

But if you had placed all the backs and only layed Alonso for around £20 backer's stake (at 1.73) then you'd have been £102/103 red on most of the field.

By laying Alonso for another £100 you would have got back to green on everyone, and your balance would increase.
