Around 1.72 seems a bit skinny for two reasons IMO.
Their opponents haven't conceded in 3 games, and
England's priority is to win the match, not to be
up at half time although that would be helpful.
Chances are they will be in front after 45 mins
but 1.72 is no value. 12.0 Montenegro could be the
better option.

Out of all the in-play International matches I've recorded over the last 7 months (including the world cup) there's only been 2 0-0's of odds 12.0 or above, and that was England both times at 18.0 and 17.0, stat of the day :)

He actually posted that Montenegro could be the better option.
But at least he was talking about before the off.
I hope he did put his money where his mouth was.
I think he probably did, but apparently not in any size.
A pity.

I posted England at 1.72 as to be avoid, and
suggested Montenegro as a better option at 12.0.
I would think anyone backing England at half time
at 1.72 would have had more on, than a bet on
Montenegro at 12.0. On a personal note, my stake
on a 1.72 would be 7 times that of a 12.0 chance.
Re my post on the Montenegro ''clean sheet'', that
was relative to the title of that particular thread
and would have impossible to make my point otherwise.
If that is after timing, I plead guilty.Sad

Gonna enjoy a vacation in Montenegro some time soon, wherever the hell it is .?

FAFH, 12.0 chances carry (very) small stakes unfortunately
and the winnings wouldn't go to that unfortunately.
Montenegro ? I haven't a clue. It was a good match for me,
how about you ?

Not exactly a crystal clear post K.......but you were spot on re ENGLAND odds being poor value at start of match.....which was a "good" post and not really worth knocking.

You did indicate " Chances are they will be in front after 45 mins " ...which did not happen......and did indicate you considered "12.0 Montenegro could be the
better option"...which did not happen.

All in all your post was fine.....GL with bets.

So you think the price should be less than evens, but you don't specify exactly what. You say 1.72 is "a bit skinny" and also "no value", but don't say whether there is a sufficient margin to justify a bet! I'd agree that it is pretty ambiguous also.

Surely if you were advising a lay, you would state "1.72 is poor value" ?

I thought the 12.0 for the visitors was better value
than the 1.72 for the home side, as it happened
neither of them were successful, but perhaps it was
better to have a small bet on a 12.0 loser than a
large bet on 1.72 stumer. Sad
