Sorry to be a bot bore but I am looking for something which will do what my current app can't.
I want something which will monitor the open markets where I can set it to take a price when it becomes available.
If this sounds naive please let me explain further.
I currently run software where I can ask for my price to be fired in at any time before the off.
The problem I have is that if the market is empty, at a specific time when the bot is asked to start, then it effectively goes to sleep and makes no further attempt to place bets.
What I want is something which will continue to monitor each market and hit any acceptable offer, within range, whether it is 10 seconds or 10 hours, or whatever, before the off.
The only danger, that I can envisage, is the possibility of excess data requests, if the bot is active in too many markets at the same time!
Any constructive thoughts, please, would be appreciated.
I think Gary is on Paternity leave- maybe better search the forum, lots of people do exactly what you're after and there's a good chance you'll find an example sheet there.

I guess that is why Mark came back to me and said he is under pressure!
I have to say, with all credit where it is due, that these guys are really switched on!
The response time, and understanding of queries, is exemplary from them, even at the weekend, or Bank Holidays etc.
I must mail and congratulate Gary as I wasn't aware.
Mark did say that there was, pretty certainly, a way to do what I want, and he will get back ASAP.
Thanks for that.I guess that is why Mark came back to me and said he is under pressure!I have to say, with all credit where it is due, that these guys are really switched on!The response time, and understanding of queries, is exemplaryfrom them, even
aye robot, how difficult would you say it is for someone with no understanding of programming to get to grips with Excel/Gruss? I need some software with bulletproof 'be first in the queue' capabilities as I am constantly getting topped and I would like to play more markets than I can manually monitor. I've tried things like BFExplorer and they're not good enough, they are too easily confused and unreliable.

If you're logically minded It's a piece of p1ss. I'd thoroughly recommend it as a way to get going (and keep going) with bots. It takes away all of the "back room" stuff and it's super stable and reliable.
You can easily learn it from scratch by starting off with "if" formulae on the worksheet, move on to basic VBA such as price recording and then build it up to be as complex as you need. In some ways it doesn't hurt to be a beginner as simpler is generally better with bots, there's no need to make them complicated. Plus if you start off small it's quite easy to get a return immediately.
Staring out is great actually, I remember the first day I had a go- I made about £6.50 and I was made up because I thought I could just multiply the stakes and that would multiply the returns (doh!). The first time I made £100 was even better. I'm harder to please now but there's always another target to meet....
