Lost "control" again...late on.......Looks like I can only bet in about 10 races ...then I start doing bets that I should not be LAYING in certain race types.

now lose the ego and ditch the lays when you are hitting big odds winners dutching, why do you spoil it all with some 1.08 bets? (which is what you do when you lay em) laying game: 3pt liability level stakes.....group them together in a acca across the day or week to make even money and you might make 3pt profit a week if you are GOOD and PATIENT...... trouble is 3% growth of bank is not exciting enough for most people as they search for the record-breaking instant goldmine system that just is and never will be here |

Just a number of comments re - above..... You say - "ditch the lays"........However, it really should be ditch the lays in race types that I know I am not strong on! You say - I'm "dutching".......This is not correct , as I am nowhere near DUTCHING the back selections. I do many cover backs ...in some races....where the winner can come from a number of horses. Usually though I do have MAIN BACKS in bold. You say - "laying game: 3pt liability level stakes" - However, IMO .....someone betting LEVEL STAKES, whether BACKING or LAYING, is not betting very efficiently. It just indicates that your "edge" is small.....or non-existent. However, LIMITING the LAY LIABILITY for a "beginner" like me re LAYING does make "sense"........though really my weakness is LAYING IN RACE TYPES WHERE I KNOW I SHOULD NOT LAY IN. So far I am "happy" with my BACKING STANDARD of selection.......but my STAKING on BACKS still has room for improvement! The LAYING has MAJOR "room for improvement".....otherwise my bank will be wiped out! I will be continuing BACKING similar to previous weeks on here.......but my LAYS til year end will be far more selective and STAKING too will also be more controlled......easier said than done, as day wears on .....so easy to slip back into BAD BETS. NEW YEAR will be the year I know I can make more than the 3% figure you suggest is difficult to make on here.....however, it all depends how "good" your BACKING edge is.......and how you control LAY STAKING and selections.
