Probably feel its better to keep on the right side of the French authories with the huge potential betting market that could be there. Holland probably has limited potential not been a horse racing country and all that.

I am irish and know of the plans etc. It won't happen for the simple reason is you will then be able to offset your losses against the tax. Also if they try to bring in what they are saying, it won't take long for the GAA , FAI , etc to get a slice of the pie which will open up another can of worms.
I am not saying that they won't get some sort of tax in but not the way they currently envisage.
Also all this countries in europe ( france etc ) are breaking EU fair trade laws and it will inevitable swing back the other way
