YABBA...Betfair IS banned in Holland.Shocked

But just for some reason Betfair don't enforce it or recogize the ban like they do with France.

Probably feel its better to keep on the right side of the French authories with the huge potential betting market that could be there. Holland probably has limited potential not been a horse racing country and all that.

Saying that there must be a limit what a Dutch guy can do with Betfair since they can use Dutch bank cards to do their financial tranactions.

DDESA...Yeah why not? Your not doing it in France. Not sure will you be able to use all the French bank cards though. Confused Thats how most countrys stop there citizens.

And Ireland is looking at taxing all Internet gabling to fund horse racing, so all my football bets will go to Irish horse racing scandalous, plus tax on top of commission on top of the over/under round, no point in betfair here when/if that happens.

I am irish and know of the plans etc.  It won't happen for the simple reason is you will then be able to offset your losses against the tax.  Also if they try to bring in what they are saying, it won't take long for the GAA , FAI , etc to get a slice of the pie which will open up another can of worms.

I am not saying that they won't get some sort of tax in but not the way they currently envisage.

Also all this countries in europe ( france etc ) are breaking EU fair trade laws and it will inevitable swing back the other way
