if you were the only one to have spotted this you could have done some serious damage

Yes, I had to weigh up getting some advice at the cost of reduced profits or steam ahead and potentially missing something and losing a lot of money. I played safe.
Hopefully if others spot something similar then they'll let me know. Although I won't hold my breath... |

This could be a classic thread and preserved forever. So for the record £255,358 was traded on this market.

I'm just hoping it doesnt finish 1-0 og If you've put the mockers on it then you're in trouble! ;) |
By:
Do betfair go with the press association on goalscorers. I notice they Jerome as the goalscorer
By:
they've now altered it to og
By:
Thank God for that.

goaal ;)

For the record Benitez scores in 41st min. 2-0
By:
will the bot owner venture into the scorecast market again with that Benitez goal ;) i've looked at the in play games and not much traded i wonder why this match was the chosen one
By:
For the record, Benitez 3-2 is my biggest red. Although could back 3-2 score to green up. Decisions, decisions...
By:
A very expensive error for that bot owner.
By:
Again for the record, I backed 3-2 scoreline so can't lose now. Although will be pretty much £0 if it finishes 3-2.

A guy on the football forum is saying he's been on it all night and stood to make six figures. I have no idea if he's a reliable sort or not so could be hogwash.
By:
Not the big win I was hoping for on this market, but decent enough, thanks again TP.
By:
You're welcome. Same here, although the smart move was to lay all of these scorelines and so probably for the best I just did a few of the more crazy ones.
Just hoping they don't void it as is being suggested as a possibility on the football forum. They haven't paid out yet although hopefully just clarifying own goal or not... |
By:
If this is going to cost Betfair money, you can guarantee that they are thinking long and hard about voiding the market.
By:
I just see absolutely no justification for voiding the market.
By:
a disgusting decision if they void
By:
I wont let it rest if they did void, and I hope others would follow suit.
By:
Just spotted this.
Very high liquidity. This markets normally only has a fraction of that matched right? |
By:
Me too McChicken.
I didn't have a large position, but I'll be absolutely disgusted if they void (presumably because they're protecting a large customer (or themselves) from a big loss) because of what it implies for future markets. |
By:
It looks like it will be voided. Anyone rang betfair?
By:
Settled?
By:
Settled.
Well done Betfair - the correct decision. |
By:
Wonder what took so long. They must have been considering what to do.
By:
That's good news. I wonder if it was Betfair or a bot owner who screwed up. I've not seen anything like it and just wish I'd made more of it. Still, a nice start to the day.
By:
Just realised that the winning combination was quoted.
This means that the bot proberbly made a profit. |
By:
Hopefully the bot owner doesn't realise their mistake and springs up somewhere else!

This could be a classic thread and preserved forever. So for the record £255,358 was traded on this market. :0 how much!! Wish I'd come on the forum now instead of closing it as a distraction all afternoon. Anyone take any screenshots of the market or any graphs? |
By:
Huge amounts matched early on at outside prices, markets stabilized after that.
