Ok i have to disagree with you there .. why simple if the horse cannot win it cannot win dont matter if it 3/1 or 33/1 ,,,,, never let the odds make your mind up .. the odds are the last thing i look at ..

thats fine, youre being selective, if you think a horse will lose then the odds dont matter as much, you'll have a better strike rate than the guy laying everyone. if you blindly lay them then you arent being selective with the naps prices, youll be laying 10/1 shots that have a chance to win at 15.0+ on here, it all adds up.

surely you're laying the football teams at the correct betfair price aswell ?

years of experience, football punters are bloody terrible, over time horse punters get close to losing the amount they should with the over round, football punters lose 30-40% of their stakes over hundreds of thousands of bets. it almost doesnt matter what price im laying them at because the stakes on each selection vary, if i was using level stakes then it'd have more of an impact.

besides, at the sharp end of markets the prices are often whats available at the bookies, my books on here end up looking exactly like the books id see when i was odds compiling.. big red on the fav, smaller green on the outsider and a huge huge green on the draw.

Does laying losers and backing winners work on an any horse,any race or just on the Naps ?

ive never seen the stats for laying the press challenge lot but id imagine theyd appear more favorable to layers than the full naps boys.

i say appear, because ultimatley it'd be a wild goose chase.

roughly speaking, from 20,228 bets, the press challenge lads are down £646.45, thats just 3%

take into account betfairs cut and the the higher prices on here, youd be losing money if you laid them all, this is despite every one of them posting an overall loss.

this is where i went wrong when looking at the naps table, all i could see were losses, what i didnt see was how many hundreds/thousands of bets that were involved

After all they average 12 winners a day ...Back the winners ..Lay the losers .. easy .

Tiger if you want to see the buzzers take the racing betting forecast then compare with first show from the course by the time first show comes through the bookies have a very good idea whats fancied whats not ... them poor press guys have to be in print 18 hours before the first show over night the going my have changed ... thats why i dont lay or back untill about 3 mins to post time you need all the info at your finger tips .. 15 mins before the race is in my opinion anti post.

Tiger owning horses here are the numbers buy one for say £ 30 grand .. keep it in training £1.500 per month .. take it to the races cost you £400.. so the in the know men should have first bit of the cherry ... Average horse will cost you in training fees alone £18.000 Per year ..say the nag runs 8 times its 8 times £400 another £3.200 that makes £21.200 ....... so its no good betting in £10 tenners .. good luck to em i say .

Hex 7 races 5 races have naps Plum 7 races but only 4 have naps in em Ponty 7 races all 7 have naps in em that makes 21 races and for zip thats 16 races i will take a look at them all . may back some may lay some .. just depends what the form book tells me ... but most days i do ok .. hope that helps you .

drawn low at Ponty is a big help, these are not Champions.......there is little between any of them IMO....so every small edge helps

I'm more of a press the green button before race time anyway.........back high lay low, 5 ticks = 10% profit.......win 2 out of 3 trades a day = 10% growth of bank.........10% a day gets the beers in

I only lay and dutch bet em to small % of bank.......make another 10% a week, happy days

I can't see the point in following NAP tables (listening to other people's opinions). If you can read the form and create your own book - who cares what other people NAP or how other odds-compilers price up a horse? use your own judgement it's the only way
