You were right Jiimbob, I could not post a reply.

But... I have tested it again and whatever you do after seeing the Warning message, it still places the bet. i.e whether you click the ok or try to exit using the X.

In other words, Betfair show you a warning in case your odds in excess of 99 are an error - and then dont allow you to do anything about it.

click cancel all bets on the bottom left of the part of the screen where you place bets.

It's been a bug/feature for as long as I've been here. Only way around it is to turn the internet off!

You can do it Lori. Clicking cancel all only cancels the bets that you are about to place.

You can't click anything on the page when the warning comes up because it overrides the main window :)

Wrinkly.. that feature not on my screen for some reason.

Lori.. ditto. , I just thought someone might know a way round it. OUt of interest, Betfair staff didn't appear to know anything about it.
Appears there isn't an answer nor do BF intend rectifying it.

I have just done it. Stick up a high odds bet that won't get taken and try it.

hahahah. That's amazing, as this thread probably comes up once per month and at least 25% of those people have asked betfair to sort it out :^0

Just tried it Alex, you (well I actually) can't cancel until after it's placed.
Report Alex the old wrinkled retainer April 12, 2010 10:48 AM BST
I think they have sorted it as I can cancel after getting the warning.
Report Lori April 12, 2010 10:49 AM BST
Just found the difference, there's an option of "Confirm bets before placing" that allows you to cancel all. I didn't/don't have that checked/ticked.

after warning comes up and you,ve clicked it and now you don,t want to place bet, click "my bets" then click" place bets" thus now allowing you to cancel.
