Afraid not. Just supporters of different clubs**gging each other.

No one even talks about why no one talks about betting either. :(

There should be two football forums. One for football fans and the other for football betting with anything not betting related being pulled. Sadly the forum is full of fans who feel that as they watch football they are experts in the subject. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but the plankton has a habit of taking everything over.

I had hoped there would be serious discussion on these forums and occasionally there is, which is nice when it does happen.

So long as the plankton bet their inane biased opinions on the markets, I'm happy to have them around.

The Politics forum is even worse - it's like a particularly bad broadcast of Question Time, a programme which is EXACTLY the same every week, only the faces giving the same old rhetoric change, and even then they're on an annual rota.

:) Agreed. The problem is that is neccesary to tune into the inanave views to see where the misguided money is going.

I did not mean to invent a new word. Perhaps I ought to reconsider my plankton definition.

systems and stragies are not permanent. People come up with new ideas and new systems. so dont rely on systems. Use your brain and find something to outsmart others.

for example in horse racing. weight of money strategy. If there is more money on lay side then back a horse. As the price goes down lay to lock profit. Do it several times easy money. Now it wont work as many people know this, they are putting spoof bets and you lose money as the market swings suddenly.

Dont touch low odd favourites.

Put effort to understand odds momentum. Try to understand the psychology of market. I trade numbers. Stats and research irrelevant to me. what is more important for a trader is market behaviour. Predicting how they are going to behave. Tennis market is very efficient and learn from odds momentum to master the skill. Cricket is very good for trading as well.

Try to understand your strengths and weaknesses. Stick to your strengths. One thing that makes you winner or loser is bank/stake management. I myself prefer to withdraw winnings everyday. Keeping all winnings and bigger bank means a disaster waiting to happen. One thing many can't control including me is losing discipline and chasing. Big bank will make you lose more money while chasing.

Dont rely on others to make decisions. Find whether you got skills or not. If you realise you dont have skills do it as hobby or quit.

I was searching my old posts and this statement was made few years back but it is true.

The forum has been invaded by the 10p to £1m in 5 years challenge brigade. If you try to confront them they claim they now own the forum as much as the old regulars, and that these "challenges" are serious betting threads.
It's really quite sad, I blame Tony Blair.
Report Lusitano71 April 13, 2010 3:47 AM BST
i think one of the problems is that the "old regulars" let the younger guys rule things here at will and maybe because they are tired of it all they just dont defend their ground, so in the end everything is up for grabs

Also there should be a personal block "thread", "nickname" option so that we couldnt see anything from that particular forumite or threads we dont like or care for
Footbal forum also needed a subdivisions, things like i/r match threads, football chit chat and strategies and betting systems, the problem is that BF has everything in the same basket and thats always confusing and all over the place

It could be argued that you can lay the blame with Microsoft and Margaret Thatcher.

In the bad old days my dial up bill ran at about £200 a month. Then telecoms in the UK was taken out of the hands of a monopoly and Microsoft came up with windows so access got cheaper and easier to use. After that the whole thing snowballed, the government even started teaching IT in schools.

Now it has got to the stage that computing is so easy that even the Plankton can find the on button on their computers although the caps lock button is still beyond them.

Such is life.
