i think betfairs history of bets isnt as good as it could be,theres too much confusion and options,they need a all bets placed matched or not settled or not void or not,option,
it would be good to have a option of everything you bet/traded in time/date order settled/matched/unmatched/not/settled etc - basically a key log of what youve done that day.
i cant find multiplies on horse racing, i presume they re matched ,dont know if settled - cant check cos dont know where to look,the fact i cant find them by putting in the first basic option
is the problem,i m probanly doing something wrong ,but thats not the point - should be dummy friendly,
a time/last bet/ in time/date order would solve this irrelevant of matched/settled/void/whatever.

- The fact that it cant stay up for 24 hours in a row
- The way that if you use Aussie markets in "My markets" it deletes all your markets about 10% of the time - The layout of the soccer menus so it's almost impossible to find the match you want |

the way the match odds market is always about 3/4 the way down the list of markets for any given cricket match - just put it at the top!!

wish they would put multiples winnings/loses into your p/l statement. Also wish there was some other way to check your losing/winning multiples rather than just "Transfer to/from multiples, bet id xxx" appearing on your statement.

The speed of the website itself is by far the worst part of Betfair. It's the slowest website I have ever encountered, and whilst that makes no difference to my betting as I use the API, it's still frustrating waiting for the main site to load pages which I use as a map of what's happening and when.
I can download on speedtest.net right now at 17.2 Meg per second, so I have a good ISP, yet changing a Betfair page takes about 20 seconds! I'm not one to criticise, but that is simply a diabolical deterent to potential new users who will click on Betfair for the first time, wait wait and wait, then give up and disappear for ever. Does anyone know exactly why it's sooooo slow? |

It's a very complex page and if there is something on your PC that is slowing all pages down slightly this effect is compounded for the Betfair site. If using IE then try adding betfair to your trusted sites and reducing the security settings for trusted sites. You might find betfair runs faster with firefox or chrome, though if you delete your cookies with IE then it is just as quick. Look at your hosts file, which you can find with a search, open with notepad. If there's a lot of stuff in there (anything following a hash can be ignored) that slows betfair down, indeed that was part of my problem, I had a trojan which I had cleaned but it had put a load of sites in the hosts file. Another thing that I think slows betfair down a lot if a process called googleupdate or similar is running, use task manager to see what processes are running any try to take some unnecessary stuff out your startup list using msconfig. But this googleupdater file is hard to get rid of, it keeps coming back. I have deleted google earth from my pc as this seemed to be what was setting off this google file which was slowing betfair. I also think there is a problem with virgin media which slows betfair very slightly, you can see this from the path with tracert but there's nothing can be done about this. |

Thanks Getting Better, it's just strange why Betfair is the only website that opens pages so slow, even the purple place is much quicker.
