Thanks guys. Here is what Customer Services have now said in an email: "If you amend the stake in any way your position within the queue will be reset. This is to prevent users from putting up a low stake of 2GBP for example and then queue jumping by altering it to 2000GBP. Any changes to your bet request puts it at the back of the queue for matching." That just didn't look logical to me; in their example, surely the £2 stays in its original position in the queue and £1998 joins at the back of the queue. Have I got that right?

If the update produces a new bet reference that portion of the bet will go to the back of the queue as would any new bet, if you reduce the stake the bet reference will stay the same and mantain it's position in the queue
