ive beeen training on here for 7 years and now feel im ready for the big step up ,i am concentrating on the four sports that i have specialist knowledge on .
my last months p and l is below ...this was achieved in 287 bets ...i just need to tweak my staking and away we go .....any advice would be appreciated ......

1. Don't waste time doing research and trying to come up with a method for your betting, let the mugs do that and when they have decided which is the best bet just follow them in by lumping on the favourite. They are expected to win for a reason!
2. If something goes wrong then just go onto the next bet but DOUBLE your stake to win back the money. You can't be unlucky for ever can you :) 3. It's a well known fact that some of the best professional gamblers IN THE WORLD post on the betfair soccer forum. Spend as much time as possible there and follow all tips indiscriminately. |

went down to £36 :( , became a bit pointless , so maybe not much value after all in the selections :)
My ratings were started from scratch for it , as i'd not been betting on football or anything much regulary for the previous year . My old ratings had evolved over 7 years and i was reluctant to adjust them and found this was succesful as i'd be backing teams at good prices just as they were coming off a bad run. With that thread the ratings were probably out to begin with , so the idea of only rarely and marginally altering them was not doing me any good .This led me to overstake on particular teams. Was a bit unfortunate i think though, had 6 bets ddecided by last 10 minute goals ( 3 in injury time) all against me .Got into profit and then had the worst run i've ever had. Annoying that Bayern Munich , who i opposed regualry as i maintained they were way overated , after winning about 6 weeks in a row at awful odds , then struggled for weeks after i stopped . Same was true of a few other teams. Overall must conclude my ratings are not presently accurate enough to produce the best prices, so can't stake with confidence on it .Will keep ratings updating til i'm happy with them before further bets :) |

Hope to see more of the bets in the future - I enjoyed reading your thread.
As well as arbing I also place what I think are value bets, although my way of classing the bets as such are far more simplistic. I have slowly been moving towards more gambling so it always interests me to see how other people calculate value. |
