Im still playing, not sure what amount im on but still doing ok thankfully.
I found straight after stopping its easier not knowing what your winning over a month period or any length of time as it can interfere with that days racing. Just happy to be surviving on betfair and turning a profit over |

Racing Club could do with more members but im not daft, i know things are tight for many.
However when things pick up for many then at least the club has some history and people recoginse the colours more. If you wait for the good times you need 2 years to establish yourself as a credible cluib Regards looking forward to the season.......yes damn right. All those horses waiting to run, off to the stables tomorrow to look over them with the members for an open day. Then im gallop watching Wednesday, then thinking of the breeze up sales for maybe 1 addition to the team. It might cost me a fortune but it keeps me hungry in my search for winners and makes the game more exciting for me |

poor horse as well. thats hit me harder than the usually ones that pay the ultimate price. Never nice seein any get killed but to see such a good horse die there only through over jumping really makes you feel gutted

Koo, how does it feel being a millionaire? Let me know I can only imagine losing 200k in 3 months and still be able to get up in the morning.

i feel no different. Although i dont have any money troubles that previously could stress anyone out when potless. But theres no change of feeling every morning from when i was playing in my foirst few years. Its wake up looking forward to playing on here so i can pit my wits against everyone else and try and come out on top.
then go hiome, and basically just look forward to tomorrow to do it all again |

Ok, well I'm new and starting with next to nothing, but if I've learned anything recently it's that you need a substantial amount to begin to have any hope of being sufficiently successful, you probably began with large amounts giving yourself that advantage, if ever there was a case for speculating to accumulate, than it's right here on Betfair!
I'm enjoying it too even though we're in different leagues, kills time whilst my broken foot heals, and then I can go back to the real working world where I know I can make money[:)] |

You don't need to start with a substantial amount, what makes you think that? Start small and if you're any good it soon mounts up, start with a large amount and your long odds on to end up with a very small amount, if anything at all!

you dont need a big bank roll. Thats a myth really. I started with next to nothing but had no outgoings so only needed to withdraw my weekly berr money and could leave the remaining funds in here to grow.
Luckily i lived with my dad for a few years whilst my bank roll got bigger and bigger and he paid for things like sky, the internet, and food to feed my bug fat appitite. So basically i had no pressure on myself to make anything substantial quickly. I had a 5 years plan for myself but it thankfuilly snowballed alot more quickly than that. Anyways home tome now. A losing day but one i can love wioth |

Koo, very interesting reply, but maybe than if you and Buzzer are saying you don't need to begin with a large bank than I guess it's all about finding your niche market, so to speak.
