gotta take yr defeats on the chin schalke. if u can post ur winning bets within a nano second of them finishing with an added :), then u should also put in yr losing bets immediately. as i said another bet outside the thread guidelines, only going to end one way im afraid. all these random bets on scorelines or 2-0 leads etc with 60 mins to go at odds of around 1.06/7/8 is just total madness. this is not me digging u out either schalke, its advice. snookers coming up nxt week, why dont u actually try and do frame betting properly and use yr knowledge rather than wasting it on stealing a couple of pennies. but anyways doubt u will listen, u know best of course.

Totally agree. Why does Schalke write these threads at all, if not to gain recognition and respect?

the sharp mind is locked in his pit - jotting things down on his notepad, pacing the room talking to himself.
6 months later the sharp mind will emerge, tired, but with a 'brand new never been tried before 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04 challenge. leaving out the 1.05.
so much diversity, so many strings to the bow.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. There was always something entertaining about Schalke's threads - I'm sure many people will be sorry to see him gone. Though many more will want to take his place in the vanity stakes.

what i dont get is that he says how much these threads have made him over the years( very debateable), yet when it goes all wrong he sulks and hopes for thread to drop off the bottom. take yr defeats like a man. u clearly are a fully paid up member of the good winners club, but i suspect u are also a member of the bad loser one as well. anyway prove us wrong and tell us all how much this thread is going to make u, still long way off the 1000 bets u promised.

Are you suggesting that he's only here for the glory, that one day he'll strike 1000 consecutive winners and earn a very decent return and the adoration of the thousands of readers, then sell his "system" on ebal (hence the copyright symbol)? That's a bit cynical, don't you think?

Why doesnt someone try to do the opposite of what this thread suggests, for example laying newcastle at halftime instead of betting them? obv the strike late will be low, but the returns are good for much smaller bets.

Many of you will be surprised that when I gave up my career I done gamblimg for a living for two years. I done very well and lived off the money but as time went on I had to dig into my funds as it wasn't quite enough.

Eventually I lost the big bank I had and if you don't have that then you can't bet properly. Thats when I discovered betfair and I tried many different way of betting. Then I stumbled accross the 1.01-1.05 bets and the thing was I enjoyed it so so much, better than any other type of betting. I get a rush from betting for a few mins, and even though the rewards are small, I like the challenge of building them up into a sizeable amount, thats what keeps me doing this. There is no limit to the amount you can win. It's great and I don't know why so many slate me for it when I have produced good profits but most important I enjoy it !

Is Schalke on holiday in FANTASY ISLAND ;)

no limit to the amount u can win? doesnt that apply with all gambling? its not great, and u havent produced good profits and u only enjoy it when things are going well. u have a glass jaw when it comes to taking a hit. u love showing us every bet u strike with a big fat smile when the 3-0 lead holds on ( takes some clued up shrewdie to dig those out), yet scream like a lobster when it goes wrong. this thread has had a number of losses considering most of yr bets are nearly over the line or should be at odds ur playing. must be at least 7 or 8 other bets where u have also literally crept over line, so this thread could well have been smashed to pieces a long time ago.

Well, I done betting full time 2003-2004 and lived off the money, it was around £20k profit, that was just using accounts with bookies .....

Then when I stopped betting and went back into employment I joined Betfair. I have done most of my systems on here as you have seen. I would say I have made around £3,000 doing the 1.01-1.05 system, and on my other ones I would say I have made a loss, I still have to take into account in my first month on Betfair when I pressed the wrong box and lost a grand, other than that I'm doing ok. Not losing which is the main thing, not making a fortune either but I'm happy with it the now.

I do the odd bet outside this thread but not much, I should have lost a grand the other night, but Arsenal saved me ...

I know he keeps coming back for more and I know he doesn't listen, but that's enough gloating from grown men now, I feel.

Fact is there is nothing wrong with backing a 1/20 shot if it should be 1/100. Long run, you'll win.

Yes, it's the value debate again.

The problem Schalke had/has is that it was all so arbitrary and dependent solely on the match he was watching, whatever the odds it seems he'd lump on against two more goals happening, more often than not. Some (very) rare times I thought his bets looked value, most other times not so, but at those sort of odds on I wouldn't even touch value, but that's me.

He wears his heart on his sleeve, posting everything up here having everyone willing his bets beat so he will stop. As a suggestion perhaps if you're reading this, Schalke, you should do the opposite. Next time you're watching a match bet the big odds with a throw away fiver whenever you get the familiar urge to lay them... just a thought.

Gloating? Surely anyone posting a betting thread on here is see fame and adoration. Either that or they are trying to prove a "system" and sell it on Ebay. Surely it's the duty of respectable readers of this forum to question the motivation and the validity behind such "systems" so as to protect the more naive? Or shall we just turn a blind eye and watch people being taken for a ride as happened with the *** incident where "investors" in a system lost fortunes? (Not suggesting that Schalke has ever wanted to do this, but my arguement is still valid).

The problem Schalke had/has is that it was all so arbitrary and dependent solely on the match he was watching, whatever the odds it seems he'd lump on against two more goals happening, more often than not. I see no problem with arbiary decisions based "soley on the match". That's how I make my own betting pay, and I'm quite succesful.

Chin up Schalke. Well done for your continuing efforts to eek a living, but you've lost a lot of respect by not completing your final P&L.

Schalke is the forum jester......

Everyone one of his threads have resulted in him losing his bank. He's tried different permutations of banks, prices and sports.......and still he loses.

..and yet he still reappears every now and then, with a slightly new version, saying all is right with the world, and that he is making money from his system.

When I was a bookie many many many moons ago, we had a name for people like Schalke......

........we called then "mugs"

Long may they remain on this site though. I make a nice living off them

I agree betfairy. He posts these threads on an open forum and claims to be successful amidst naive plaudits. Then as soon as he dips into the red he abandons the thread and expects us all to do the same.

There are many others who do similar threads who do not attract the 'gloating' because they do it much more honestly imo.

His approach is entirely illogical and irrational and that is why he attracts scorn.

Limiting bets to a given price range is no more sensible than only backing teams that wear blue. It is no more logical than only buying shirts that range from £150-£160.

The approach is entirely flawed and when he starts with comments such as 'I have the longest winning run on here' then it is hardly surprising that he gets mocked.
