schalke ive made comments about u making any bets that arent 1.05 or under quite a few times if u read the thread. but u like telling everyone that u wont be chasing coz its a 1.01 to 1.05 thread. but u have just ploughed on with lots more higher risk bets and so making this thread title pointless. anyway keep going with just picking any match that happens to be on, sure is some selective process. hours of research on each football teams scoring records no doubt goes into it.

I guess winners make you feel good, that's the only reason to do this as financially it is a complete waste of time and effort. |

As was mentioned earlier, Schalke still has a return of 13% which is very very good. However, with only 150 bets on short prices it's inconclusive wheter Schalke is finding value. Perhaps we need at least 500 bets to reach some meaningful figures (previous challenges aside, of course).

Although he's taking 13% on "turnover", I've always defined turnover in the same way as investment and in this case he's below 1%. I'd like to see Schalke do well on this thread, however sometimes he does make it hard with random outbursts. Anyway, good luck Schalke.

Well, we're talking about differnet scales there. Risking £1000 on 1 1.05 carries little risk, but risking £1000 on a 100/1 shot carries a load. I like the ROT as mentioned by Chelseaheadhunder. Profit + Losses = Turnover. Simple, and everyone can use it, even traders.

Betfairy I agree in this case where he's supposed to be betting between 1.01 and 1.05 to take a straight ROI as turnover would be a little silly, and in this case 13% is quite good. Also there was a post saying that he was chasing with other bets, but I would assume seeing as this is a challenge that these funds are seperate to other bets and so chasing isn't really an issue.

tbf 1.02 for that bet is one of the rare occassions when its a true value price
ever thought about the backing no hat trick market? usually 1.02/1.03/1.04/1.05 depending on game....you just need to avoid games involving teams with a prolific striker |

Betfairy, we have already agreed on 1000 bets and Schalke has himself stated that 3k would be a decent profit on this number of bets. Not on target at the moment though.

My question, after your rather bombastic statement declaring that you know what you're doing, was merely to ascertain the degree to which this is correct.
If you win every year doing what I and others feel is poor value betting, then I am encouraging you to say that you are in profit over this time and that what you do makes profits in the long run... somehow. Is this the case? |
