My method involves alot of losing bets, and slightly more winners, so BF like me because I pay about 33-50% comm :)
But I seem to be getting more agitated now during the losing spells than before, and wondered if others feel the same and how you deal with it? In my case I could take 8 steps forward and 7 steps back, and I accept and expect that, being happy that my method hasn't shown a losing week for about 6 months. But I'm finding myself getting too emotionally involved with the losing runs and getting wound up too much, which is worrying.
Maybe I'm getting bored with what I do, spending about 10 hours a day here and it's a lonely life, although I do love doing it but have noticed myself getting angry too much during the recent losing spells. Sometimes I feel like a boxer on the ropes, gloves up protecting my face as I take punches from both sides and can do nothing but soak it up.
So basically I believe that taking the losses in your stride is what makes or breaks you in this game, the wins are candy from a baby by comparison. So what to do? I'm thinking about covering over the balance as I do tend to keep track hourly which doesn't help, like today I was 400 up by mid afternoon only to finish just about 100 up by tonight. Still a profit for the day but could have been so much better, but without knowing where I am at any given point I can just play each bet as it comes and maybe not feel so beat up during the inevitable backward movements. Just look at the P&L at the end of the day.
So how do you other full timers handle the psychological side of things?
I mean daily losing runs, like taking 6 or 7 hits in a row after building up 6 or 7 wins, and like I said I know it's part of the game but feel for some reason I've started to become too involved with the losses, so looking to correct a problem before it grows I guess. Plus I'd like to hear about other full timers psychological endurances on the battle field :)

Good God!
I check all my accounts immediately after settlement, and also once a month to make sure I haven't been ripped off. I have a rough idea how I'm doing on a given day and/or week but unless it's really good or really bad (to the point of radcal staking differences) I don't really have much of a clue what's going on.
There's too much to worry about in this game to be concerned about what my balance was 3 hours or 3 days ago!

I missed the part where you said you haven't had a losing week for 6 months.
I'm a PC payer and I have losing months let alone losing weeks. Enjoy it, because you're not going to have it any better than you already have.

Blimey, I never check anything, I only go into the P&L on a Monday morning to record the latest balance. Starting from now I'm no longer going to tally the daily ups and downs, just look at the figure after the final settlement.
