I know that the first 2 or 3 months are the worst time of the year for pre-race horse racing markets but i was just wondering how everyone has found the start of the year.
I've found the markets all over the place and can't make a correct decision for love nor money.
I've been trading the exact same way ( only trade handicaps ) for 2 years come April and haven't come close to having a losing month until these past 3 weeks when i've had a shocking run.
Wonder what everyone else's thoughts on the markets are......basically i'm looking for a confidence boost that my way of trading is right for me and it's just the randomness of the early year markets.
Cheers for that Amberblack...glad to know that there are other people who think the same way.....by the way any chance of the name of that other forum?

When i used to trade pre race i thrived on volatility, surely it's what you want? If you're a one/two tic scalper Cheltenham will be right up your street

So over 20 months of winning, not even close to a losing month and now you wet your pants after a tricky 3 weeks?
