I have been a member for a few years now and can only remember two systems that worked, I appreciate that not all people use or like systems because they can be mechanical and lose flair.
I will name the two systems can anybody think of any more that worked...

Any so called system that requires a loss recovery staking plan is dooomed to failure. Any system worth its salt shoud be able to stand on its own merits. Another term for loss recovery staking plan is....chasing your losses , which we all know doesn't work long term.
There are systemz out there that can provide small profits long term, Markets on betfair are so competitive with the ammount of layers forming markets with overrounds barely above 100% and betting is where the true opportunties arise. |

But I cannot make my mind up about the triggering criteria and whether it should be level steaks or dutching or something else. I would be interested in any input that may be relevant. |

Haha, that's what I did for a while. Leave a bet up over night in a quiet market and the number of times I logged in in the morning thinking "nah, nobody would be that stupid" and see that someone had matched it. Used to work well in the HT Score market. 2-2 always seemed to be 200 on the lay side, if you put in a back for 2 quid or more just under his odds he'd move his down but if you put in a back at 1.99 he wouldn't so if anyone was silly enough to lay at 200 you'd get 1.99 at 190. Got bored of that pretty quickly for obvious reasons. |

The Rugby League "system" was as stated above, back both teams to score a try in the 1st scoring play market. It was posted up by a complete chancer who eventually got banned for trying to sell a tipping service.

Yes that was a big problem for me too. The larger your bets are, the more likely it is that someone will jump in front (bot or otherwise). I do remember a funny incident where a bot would automatically jump in front whatever the odds were. I drove the odds up by putting in high odds and then matching the bots bets. Pretty hilarious that one. |
