http://service.betfair.info/ is down pretty ironic
Report kingmax February 17, 2010 9:14 PM GMT
just request you money back for any bet during the downtime.
Report The Investor February 17, 2010 9:14 PM GMT
It's back up now:

"The Betfair site you are trying to access is currently unavailable, due to technical problems.

We apologise for this disruption to our service and confirm that our engineering team is working to rectify these problems as quickly as possible."

Not working when the site is down, and displaying out of date messages when it is up again.

I would like my bets on Porto v Arsenal canceled, and the rest settled please ;)
Report The Investor February 17, 2010 9:16 PM GMT
Seriously though, are these bets going to be settled?
Report kingmax February 17, 2010 9:16 PM GMT
betfair cant say no. if you went to the cinema and see 70/90 mins of a fil.. what would you do..
Report Five By Five February 17, 2010 9:16 PM GMT
They will but wont settle them all at once since would cause the site to crash again... lot of load on site after coming back with everyone refreshing and logging in to the forum to seethe..
Report viva el presidente! February 17, 2010 9:18 PM GMT
a mouse farting 10 yards from the server would bring the site down at the moment.

this company has gone so downhill in the last couple of years. :-(
Report anfeild February 17, 2010 9:27 PM GMT
Theres to much on the site. All the extras virtual racing etc. Its pure greed on their part. They have become to big. It will be the ruin of them in the end. Hope so they have sold their soul and will get what they deserve.

Do API works for you boys properly?
Report Alutex February 17, 2010 9:36 PM GMT
Virtual horseracing works fine here, and be honest guys

thats all that counts.
Report The Investor February 17, 2010 9:50 PM GMT
Virtual horse racing is my main profit centre. It's all about studying virtual form.
Report LMansini February 17, 2010 9:53 PM GMT
The biggest problem is how to spend all my virtual winnings
Report hazel February 17, 2010 9:57 PM GMT
Seriously, do you think there is any danger that the volumes on virtual racing will cause the site to crash during Cheltenham week, especially has there is some big football games on that week?
Report d13phe February 17, 2010 9:58 PM GMT
according to the message that came up that was a "planned outage"
Report hazel February 17, 2010 10:00 PM GMT
...there are some big football games on that week?
Report Lori February 17, 2010 10:01 PM GMT
It always says planned outage.
Report d13phe February 17, 2010 10:03 PM GMT
thats my point lori

they need a "sh1t this wasn't meant to happen" sign

ps "we are all down the boozer drinking your premium charge"
Report roasting fan February 17, 2010 11:32 PM GMT
betfair is gay
Report lwaugh February 18, 2010 12:26 AM GMT
I like the way they always say planned maintanence in the message when something goes down when it's clearly unplanned...
Report fixed February 18, 2010 12:35 AM GMT
still some issues here. this sucks
Report nervous1 February 18, 2010 6:08 AM GMT
guy on other forum is bragging that he got £50 'goodwill' from Betfair since he 'had no opportunity to trade out of a position'.
