Good start, As ive been building my funds up today i think i will start with either the Porto match or tommorrow.

As the above said, You will get games 0-0 in the 80th minute and wonder how you chose it but sometimes you get goals inside the 1st 10 minutes.

Need to be a bit lucky aswell, Lets hope we all do well

Who you going with mate, Im looking at the Stoke game 1.12 and Porto game 1.05
By:
Kopland
When: 05 Jan 10 18:13
Porto game should be good but odds poor and i loathe portuguese football

Stoke v Fulham ticks all the boxes for NO BET however i just quite fancy goals in that one

There is also Salernitana v Brescia but as there has not been a 0-0 in Italy Serie B so far today, the law of averages is telling me to leave well alone

Then at 9pm we have Barca v Sevilla - surely a goal there!

Need to research the above 4 games before deciding. I will be back! :D

Stoke City v Fulham

As I have said above, on first sight it seems to be an obvious NO BET. Neither team particularly free scoring, and both pretty mean at the back -add to that the weather is fecking awful. However on closer inspection there may well be some value in the 1.13 currently available:

Stoke last 5 home games:

02.01.2010 Cup Round 3 Stoke City York City 3-1
28.12.2009 PR Premier League Stoke City Birmingham City 0-1
12.12.2009 PR Premier League Stoke City Wigan 2-2
22.11.2009 PR Premier League Stoke City Portsmouth 1-0
31.10.2009 PR Premier League Stoke City Wolverhampton 2-2

Fulham last 5 away games:

28.12.2009 PR Premier League Chelsea FC Fulham 2-1
16.12.2009 EUL Group E FC Basel Fulham 2-3
12.12.2009 PR Premier League Burnley FC Fulham 1-1
21.11.2009 PR Premier League Birmingham City Fulham 1-0
08.11.2009 PR Premier League Wigan Fulham 1-1

So it appears good for a goal at least. The odds look wrong tbh.

Both sides will fancy their chances of 3 points tonight so could actually be a decent attacking game.

Odds of 1.13 look pretty good as well.

Must be considered. Am I mad?!?! :D

Think thats what im going for mate.

Porto low odds
Italian no 0-0 today
Barca is later today.
By:

When: 05 Jan 10 18:24
The Porto game seems to be a sure thing looking at the form of the 2 teams as well as past meetings.

However, it is a CUP game and it seems Porto will be resting a few and aren't really interested in the competition.

That makes it a no bet for me -particularly @ 1.05!!!!

That's not to say I think it will be 0-0, rather I just don't want to lose my dosh knowing all of the above.

When: 05 Jan 10 18:26
The reason I am leaving the Italian Serie B game out is totally irrational.

The stats suggest it will be ok for a goal, however I can't help but thinking that there has been no 0-0 in Italy today in the 8 or 9 games already played.

The 'law of averages' reasoning is admittedly totally irrational but it is the reasoning that I am using for leaving this one alone.

The Barca v Sevilla game WILL have at least 1 goal imo.

However, it is ANOTHER CUP GAME, and Barca are resting a few (although Messi and Ibrahimovic start).

Sevilla have injury worries and are without 1 or 2 of their main goal-getters, so they cannot be expected to score.

Still think there will be a goal but odds of 1.06?!?

Maybe.

Only thing im worried about is the snow in the stoke game, Will it effect the players.

Stoke also havent scored in 4 games i believe, Maybe its their time.

Fulham are better at home than away, Will they want 1 point or all 3.
By:
Kopland
When: 05 Jan 10 18:30
Exactly mate.

Most games of football WILL have a goal in them - hence the odds that we get in this market for 1 goal.

But some games just seem more likely than others to finish 0-0.

Maybe see how it starts and bet inplay - if you still dont fancy it wait for Barca?
By:
CFCLad

Yes mate, Will try and have a look for a link to see and then decide.

By:

When: 05 Jan 10 18:36
No i havent :D

Just had a small stake on over 1.5 and will hope for an early goal to lay off :D

Waiting for Porto on a treble from earlier, So hopefuly these 2 bets will get me above £50 to start with a good amount.

Do you have msn mate? Think it would be easier to talk on there.

Do you look for value in the bets or looking for teams who can guarantee a goal i.e barca, chelsea, man city?

I might start at £10 to get up to £350- some boozing tokens :)
