reminds me to ask again - do any of the api products offer dutch laying? have yet to come across one that does. granted the calc is complicated but not undoable.
many thanks for that info, am playing with the trial version now. interface isn't great, have to say. if they can provide dutch laying why the fck can't any of the others?

doesn't the standard interface basically offer this?
Input the lays you want, click the payout button, type in what you want, and voila, dutch laying.
or are you after something other than that?

it does indeed, but doesn't refresh prices, nor offer you the option to take the prices on the back side. if the market is moving quickly not refreshing means you're always chasing your tail, and being a greedy sod i like to lay the prices on the back side :) i'm impressed with fairbot as it lets you mix n match which runners you want to take prices from which side.

actually, lori, my last post is a load of tosh :^0 the web interface isn't dutch laying - it results in variable liabilities on each laid runner, whereas dutching varies the steaks to produce the same liability on each laid runner.

That has equal liabilities and equal greens, isn't that what you were after (on the basic level without the changing stuff)
I'm confused as to what you mean then. This is how "payout 2000" looks for the following market....http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k10/lorinda11/dutchlaying2.jpgThat has equal liabilities and equal greens, isn't that what you were after (on the bas
equal liabilities is indeed the objective, but when i try it i get this! :^0http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae221/gvl123/dutch1.jpghttp://i974.photobucket.com/albums/ae221/gvl123/dutch2.jpg
It seems to think you're using the liability button, not the payout one for some reason (but the box says otherwise!)
Have you tried both the payout and the liabiltiy boxes just in case one works?
That's amazing that we can get different results!

ah i was using the liability button. ok i get the same result now. but you have to fiddle with the figure in order to get a specific overall liability.
i only use the feature for the golf on sunday evenings. that's the only multi-runner market i regularly play. a lot of fuss just for that! lol
