Hey, I'm going to be trying a new laying system.
I will be laying certain away teams (English leagues only) This will not be blind laying as each selection has to meet a certain criteria, however, there will be no lays over 5.0
I was going to paper trade this but I feel this best way would be to start with minimum lay stakes of £2 (max liability of £8).Ok, I know it's very small stakes but it's early days.
I only have £200 to start with so it may go titts up early doors.
Let the s**ing commence :)
The 1st bet was a lay of Preston @ 4.1 won +£1.90
Bet 2 Carlise v Hartlepool - lay Hartlepool @ 4.1
Bet 3 L.Orient v Gillingham - lay Gillingham @ 3.1
Bet 4 Millwall v MK Dons - lay MK Dons @ 3.4
Bet 5 Yeovil v Walsall - lay Walsall @ 3.35
Bet 6 Burton v Accrington - lay Accrington @ 3.9
Bet 7 Lincoln v Port Vale - lay Port Vale @ 3.15

average price you layed 3.55, that means if the prices were correct you had a 72% chance of winning EACH bet, to make a worthwhile profit you needed a 77% strike-rate.......if you picked out your strongest selection and played the ten bets over a longer length of time, you have more of a chance of hitting the 77% required IMO.
think about it ten bets is like playing a whole group of league matches 10 games played, the likely outcome in most leagues is; 5x homes 3x aways 2x draws I haven't checked your results but I'm guessing it was similar |

Only my opinion but maybe threads are a bad idea. Your strategy is similar to one of my own and i am amused at the negative comment regarding you not giving details of it. Hundreds of cr@p systems on the market and i have always thought that the biggest knockers on any thread are the geezers most keen to know more when you make that first post. Sod them,others will follow (some without criticising despite losing a few bob as the bet itself appeals to them. Easiest thing in mankind to** someone they dont have to face so keep it going as long as you feel comfortable with it although as someone who has never started a thread for these reasons i must admit to being happier recording all my bets on my own blog. One reason for the blog are that if people find it and read it and follow then it has something,another being the success or failure is then a matter for you and not the real losers on the forum,also it will keep you focused and selective. Go with the blog mate,even general betting has the fools now that have adorned the footy section for too long,one has already posted earlier but wont appear again. Good luck. |

whilst i don't want to knock you you'd be better keeping these records for yourself as the thread is just basically a record of your bets and your p and l. There's nothing to contribute to, such as why you think the selection is a lay and what price you have it at, i.e x team are 3.5 and i have them at 4 so according to my tissue they are a lay at 3.5, you can do this without giving your selection criteria away and people will respond in a more favourable way. Good luck all the same vl.
