It's a lot easier on paper as well.

I had a look at that 1.01 challenge and it's very impressive, but I dont think the odds changed depending on the market and how much you wanted on. One of the matches that he had around 60k on (virtual) had only £1.5k in the betfair market, so it would have been extremely difficult to get 60k on for real. But if you have a good sustainable edge and stake sensibly it should only be a matter of time before you turn £400 into 85k and more.
