Fair dos, my original post was poorly put due to haste. The point I was trying to make was that I've used Betfair for most of my betting these last years. I've even taken prices that were sometimes slightly poorer (after commission) on Betfair becasue I could no longer be bothered with other online accounts or bookies. However, due to the Premium Charge I could be bothered to go to a bookie today as it meant 7/1 instead of 5/1.

Ah... it was a 40 minute round trip and the bet was on Murphy to win the UK Champs outright.

40 min round trip for a £2 bet?
well done.

£1.50 actually - no minimum bet at Joe's!
Report dk1986 December 6, 2009 10:40 AM GMT
10p minimum bet I think you'll find. ;)
Report monmore man December 6, 2009 11:28 AM GMT
More likely a 10p maximum... ;)

if you are a pc payer then your 40 minute round trips will soon be becoming 80 min, then 200 min round trips - shop betting has changed a lot in your absence!
