Me and 4 mates have saved and each put in £2000..gonna lay short price dodgy favs..if we make lets say £300 per week between us all (its all purely for beer money)..how long before the premium charge will come into effect...any advice please...cheers lads

Probably won't pay. You'll have a fair mix of winners and losers. You are the type of punter Betfair want.
Sorry to disappoint you mr blue, but the only way you can make money on the exchanges is to trade.
And a lot lose money by trading.
Why don't you open 5 accounts with a short syndicate agreement to cover your strategy. If you hit the PC with the 1st then start using the second and so on.
Mr Blue, if you get hit by pc using that strategy you will be delighted at the amount you are making
