Why does horse racing have a 1 sec delay?

Nobody really knows

To give the fast pics players a bigger edge.

To give everyone a start.

Presumably it's so that bets don't leak in between the start/end of the race and BF suspending the market

I´ll just get my hoover out and clean it out, there seems to be £2000´s worth of 1p pieces blocking the filter!!

It's not long enough to give any ptrotection to the home players. It gives the fast pic boys some though.

For me.... 0 seconds is transparent & better... cant see how 1 second helps anyone..

Gives the fast pic boys 1 sec to cancel any mistake they make.
