Your musings certainly brought back memories. You have a particular style of writing that just paints pictures. I'm back in Malta again after last year drifting around Asia for most of it. Now the girls there certainly know how to party. More at another time. I haven't been back here long myself. Justice and Fullback don't seem to be around but Pumpkinslayer's said hi elsewhere. Ahh.... the old crew. How many posts did the old MOM thread get to in the end after my departure? I trust you kept order in my absence? If your cardboard needs drying out you could always re-locate to Malta. The local brew is quite drinkable and there's a few derelict palaces I could point you in the direction of. Fancy your own palace? Now there's a thought. It'll beat the embankment. Most of the roofs have gone on some but it doesn't rain much at the moment. Now, what's this you're saying you only "...bought two bags of crisps in the Bank tube station"? I got six - it pays to shop around, you know. My partner of the moment has just had a little Man of Mystery. Another plus side is we now have a rather attractive Maltese nanny of 21. Enough said. It's been a good year all round. As for Betfair I've gone the bot route. Steady profits most days. I call it the RonBot after its dad, a rather clever generous chap I met elsewhere. I know you frown on bots. Loads of regulars, a great bunch. Get your soggy boxes over to sunny Malta mate. They'll dry out in no time. A self contained area in a small park has now been reserved for you. She has considered all your writings and amazingly has deemed you suitable. I promised her you would not be a strain on her budget because you'd bring your soggy cardboard with you which would dry out in the Malta sun to provide your residence. She suggested that rather than you stay in the nearby park she would arrange with the head gardener to clear an area at the furthest end of the garden from the house for your privacy where an excellent cardboard structure could be erected. The GUT Canny was the most infamous place in Malta durin the days when half the geezers on the island wuz members of HM forcesIt was about 3 thousand steps that led from the top of town to the bottom and was about 10 foot wide. Lined all the way down on each side of the steps wuz little brick rooms no bigger than an orses stable, dozens and dozens of em. Each room wuz occupied by a very friendly lady whose only purpose in life wuz to keep Tommy comfy!!!.....You name it Canny and youd find it in the Gut!!!!........Aaaaaaaah.Happy Memories!!!!....Az I said in me message to MoM..Thank Gord for Penus Sillin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
