have never had any time for ben elton never thought he was funny at

all. watched him on various tv programmes not my cup of tea .

then a while back my girlfriend bought 2 tickets to see him live and i

got dragged along . a few weeks previously i had seen billy connolly

live at the same venue and he was brilliant.

so i went along fearing the worst .to my amazement ben elton was out

of this world totally eclipsing connolly . he is easily the best stand up

comedian i have ever seen . or ever likely to see.

You can't have seen Eddie Izzard then. This should give you a chuckle
