Trading the Sugar Bowl right now and am getting hundreds of 1p lays. Whats the advantage of this? Is somebody trying some sort of bypass for commission?

me to and until bf stop it i will continue in this free market.
If you lay 1p at short odds you can't lose but could win a penny.
Not something that bf will allow to continue for long imo.
No,its done in one big wave and BF seem to do little about it.By getting the 1p's given you make a loss.
I'm thick, i wondered how i kept losing all those pennies when the p and l should have been 0
I complained to Betfair about it about 18 months a go that I was getting about 20p matched per tennis match by someone laying the odds on shot for 1p at a time.
As pumpkinslayer said every time this happens you have a 1p liability for zero profit and obviously the layer has the reverse book. If you had a bot that done this for you then a risk free three figure sum could be made every week.

I am not so worried about these 1p bets. These 0.00 bets totally confuse me:

Would somebody please be so kind as to explain how you can do these 1p lays to no liability?
How much did you make Kohaku- and seriously was it worth it?
Dave- If you lay at 1.4 (for example) your liability is 0.4p. Supposedly (I've never tried) betfair round this down, so you either win a penny or lose nothing.

thx robot. I have to admit accumulating a load of 1ps isn't really a part of my strategy. One thousand transactions to win £10? Hahahaha
But why not stick a bot on this and switch to it when there's nothing else doing? Eg while you're sleeping, eating,**ed (guess!) or simply waiting for a match/race!

Having this happen to me today. 1p at 1.49 again and again. First time I've noticed it.
sounds all a bit richard prioresque out of the superman movie!
I usually report it to bf, when I see it and they always assure me that they take minimum bet and rounding abuse very seriously.
From what I gather, their integrity team like to be informed so they can identify the account and warn them that repeated abuse will lead to their account being closed.
But then bf are skimming money out of the markets with their cross matching software, so it's a bit rich them expecting users to be whiter than white, while they aren't even up front about their own skimming.

I remember a pal telling me about punters who bet 8/15s and 4/7s at 1p a time on the internet so that they get even money as theyre rounded up !!
