Van Persie Da Man

26 Aug 12 12:56
Robin Van Persie hit a wonder goal (as always) yesterday to get Man UTD back in the match. A little to soon for my liking. The minute I seen Fulham had taken the lead I rubbed my hands in glee thinking yassss, great opportunity to get good odds on a Man UTD win.

Man UTD went from odds of 1.3 to around 1.7/1.8 when Fulham scored however, they were still huge favourites to win the match. While I was mulling over throwing money Man UTDs way Van Da Man guided a beauty of a bouncing volley into the right hand corner of the net, Schwarzer flapped through the air to try and save the shot however, he would have had a better chance of winning the Euro millions on a Friday night and then winning the lottery on the Saturday. No disrespect intended to Schwarzer as no keeper in the world would have got within two feat of the shot, it was that good!

The bad news for me is I was holding out for the price for a Man UTD win to go up to 2.0 but got caught short with Van Da mans wonder goal however, I reckon there would have been loads of punters out there who were not as greedy as me and placed the bet before Van Persie scored and good on them. I also bet those same people steaked out early due to Fulham's late surgence in the game, its fair to say Man UTD were living dangerously towards the end and if was not from the outstanding De Gea Man Utd would not have walked away with all 3 points.

De Gea

I would like to stick up for the goaly on this occassion. The TV pundits were blaming him for Fulham's second goal.

De Gea came out for the ball, missed it, the ball unfortunately rickoshea'd off Vidic and went in. The pundits blamed De Gea however, if you watch the Fulham player (Petric) when the ball is crossed in you will notice he looks behind him, see's De Gea coming out and intentionally backs into the keeper. He makes no attempt to go for the ball so in my eyes it was a foul.

All in all it was an exciting game and well done to both teams.
