A £71.50 profit after last weeks loss at least stops the downward trend. Last week was unusual in the number of selections I backed but should be back to normal now.
Opening bank = £2000
Current value = £2191.65
Season HIGH = £2489.75
Season Low = £1899.00
Total bets = £1110.14
Returns = £1273.39
BONUS = £ 100.00
Balance = £2263.15
Profit = +13.16%
ROI = +23.71%
One of those weeks where you know it's coming but it still deflates you when it gets here! No winners and a total loss for the week of £236 leaves my figures looking like this :-
Opening bank = £2000
Current value = £2191.65
Season HIGH = £2489.75
Season Low = £1899.00
Total bets = £1000.14
Returns = £1091.89
BONUS = £ 100.00
Balance = £2191.65
Profit = +9.58%
ROI = +19.17%
The matrix system I use allows for weeks like this but they're still not nice when they get here! In reality the ROI has been unrealistic for some time now and I would be looking to finish around the 25% mark (which should leave me with a final fund around the £3500 mark which would be a phenomenal return of around 75% compared to 3% in an ISA).
Just the one game this week resulting in a £62 loss. At least my graph should start to look a bit more like a mountain range now ! Have added a season HIGH to date and a season LOW (as all good investment funds do !)
So :-
Opening bank = £2000
Current value = £2427.75
Season HIGH = £2489.75
Season Low = £1899.00
Total bets = £764.14
Returns = £1091.89
BONUS = £ 100.00
Balance = £2427.75
Profit = +21.40%
ROI = +55.98%
Aston Villa 2-0 Wigan - £58.00
Sunderland 2-2 WBA + £139.30
leaving an overall profit of £81.20 . I have also now staked enough with B365 to get the initial £100 bonus which is now withdrawable from my account. I'm going to add this to my overall fund as it's something I only got because of my football betting. This will also allow me to place ny bets earlier with Betfair looking for a bit of extra value.
So ....
Have moved STOPLOSS upto £1992.00
Opening bank = £2000
Total bets = £702.14
Returns = £1091.89
BONUS = £ 100.00
Balance = £2489.75 Profit = +24.49%
ROI = +69.75%
2 selections made and am backing Newcastle and West Brom both to draw. My stake is £56 on each game (bank/40)
I've now also become a fund manager! Well sort of. My brother in law (who I have been boring with my tales for the last year) has asked me to stake £2k of his own money. I don't mind doing this but have only taken £400 off of him as I work to a 20% STOPLOSS. Hopefully this wont curse my recent good form!
For the sake of this blog I'm only reporting what has happened to my initial £2k investment.
Thanks for following and will update over the weekend.
Newcastle v Blackburn £56 draw @ 3.5
West Brom v Fulham £56 draw @ 3.25
A good day return wise. Villa made +£129.77 and Everton lost -£54.07 making an overall profit of £75.70, which is a roi of 70% on initial bet so very good.
I found myself in an unusual situation where I was able to sit in front of the pc aND MONITOR THE GAMES (Which is something I don't normally do). At one stage both games were 1-1 with 7/8 minutes to go and I could have layed these off at around 1.6/1.7 . The sensible thing was probably to do this and guarantee a payout but it would be veering from my rigid rules so I decided to let them both run. Not sure if this was a good or bad thing and would appreciate anyones thoughts on this .....
Anyway overall the fund looks like this :-
Opening bank = £2000
Total bets = £474.14
Returns = £712.59
Balance = £2238.45
Profit = +11.92%
ROI = +50.29%
Two games for me this week. Don't normally place them this early in the week but I've got a busy few days ahead and may not get chance later. They are :-
Everton v Wigan draw £54.07 @ 3.8
Aston Villa v Newcastle draw £54.07 @ 3.4
£137.15 profit from the Fulham game today making it a 100% winning weekend. Very nice when these happen as they help push up return % quite quickly. Someone has suggested I post a ROI percentage (this is returns v actual staked rather than bank) so happy to do that.
Have moved STOPLOSS up from £1688 to £1730
Opening bank = £2000
Total bets = £366.00
Returns = £528.75
Balance = £2162.75
Profit = +8.14%
ROI = +44.47%
