Carlisle v Sheff Wed

Just two words - Gary Madine.

In the form of his life at the moment and playing against his old club - bound to be on the scoresheet tonight!

Get on Gary Madine to score at any time.

So 1 - 6. Incredible and I was totally wrong about the draw etc.

At least I encouraged taking the price of 3.4 for City to be Premier League winners. City are now 2.16

And Aguero to score at any time.

What I would add is that on this form Man City will win their next 3 games - Wolves, QPR and Newcastle convincingly. So get on board and back Aguero to be top scorer in the Premier League at 3.8 and continue to back City as Premier League winners til then.

The Manchester derby is a key game, in betting terms particularly, as to the likely winner of the Premier League title. It's time to nail your colours to the mast - Red or Blue.

At present Man City sit on top with a 2 point cushion and a 2 goals superior goal difference yet they as still second favourites at 3.4/ 3.5 to win the Premiership. That's got to be good value! If the game is a draw they obviously maintain this position but offer Chelsea (don't write them off) a chance to close in.

City go into this game off the back of a home win in the Champions League. Utd on the otherhand had a long travel to a tricky away tie which they came through 2 nil winners.

I think Utd's midweek travel balances out their home advantage somewhat and i can only see one outcome.

So i'm going for:

Draw
Correct score: 1-1, 2-2
To score: Aguero

Again like Liverpool the better side didn't do quite enough to come out on top but I did recommend Sheff Wed to win with draw no bet so the main recommedation ended up again as a shot to nothing.

However, Gary Madine's goalscoring run continues and he should be followed until this run dries up. He is a cert to be placed in the top goalscorer betting - that is as long as he stays fit and at Sheff Wed.

Sheff Utd v Sheff wed

16 Oct 11 10:51
It says it all that the steel city derby is now a league 1 fixture.

The two Sheffield clubs battle it out today with both sides up chasing promtion.

I am siding with Sheffield Wednesday in this one. I saw them win away from home recent. They were impressive and kept a clean sheet on that occassion. They are a big strong side and have won their last 4 games. Gary Madine - Goal Machine is on the form of his life too.

Meanwhile their neighbours started the season well but have stuttered recently and come into this game needing to get back on track.

By the way there will be no love lost and both managers will have their teams fired up for this one. I haven't seen the bookings priced up yet so cannot really recommend a value bet.

So I will be going for

Draw No Bet - Sheff Wed Win
Correct Score - 1-2 or 0-2
To Score - Madine, Jones

This time I have to bow to the greater knowledge of Betfair Ambassador Lee Dixon. Spot on Lee - Draw, Gerrard to score - excellent work.

I do think Liverpool did have the chances to win it though and came close to that 2-1 correct score for what would have been a massive 12.5. The losing punters catchphrase "what might have been" springs to mind.

I did recommend Liverpool to win with draw no bet so the main recommedation ended up as a shot to nothing.

I would have liked Kenny to have started with Carroll and Suarez and I think that says everything about the his respect for Man Utd.

Liverpool v Man Utd

14 Oct 11 13:12
Just read what lee Dixon had to say about tomorrow early kick - Liverpool v Man Utd.

I agree with Lee it is bound to be a feisty affair. However, I see Liverpool coming out just on top. King Kenny is starting to see a Liverpool side worthy of the Liverpool name. If Steven Gerrard is back and with players like Carroll, Suarez, Downing plus in a supporting role Bellamy, Kuyt, Adam then Liverpool in my view have more than enough fire power to win it.

I thought Liverpool got a real bargain in signing Jose Enrique. Enrique has the pace to cope with the threat of Ashley Young, Valencia or Nani. However, I am not convinced by the defense though particularly in central area. So I do think Liverpool with concede.

So my bets would be:

Draw No Bet - Liverpool to win at 2.1
Correct Score - 2-1 at 12.5 or 3-2 at 40
Penalty taken at 3.45
To Score - Carroll, Kuyt

It does look like happening anytime soon but I was casting my eye over Specials - Next Man Utd Manager betting, and one man jumps right out.

He is of course Mark Hughes.

As a player he was a great pro and as well as being a United legend played at Barcelona and Chelsea. As a manager he transformed Wales, cut his teeth in the Premier League with Blackburn and then went on to Man City and then Fulham.

Make no mistake with this CV and his meticulous and professional approach to management, he should be favourite in this market. If Ferguson retired tomorrow, I would advise taking any price above 3 but today with no prospect of a quick appointment he is available at a tasty 18.

A long term play for the serious investor.

So there you go, we qualify for Euro 2012, but as always with England nothing is straight forward. In fact you couldn't make it up - Rooneys dad suspect of a betting scam when a player gets sent off and son Wayne goes and does just that!

I wasn't comfortable with my predicts when I saw the rain pouring down in Montenegro. A wet slippery surface can often make for an open game and added to that the bobbly pitch made mistakes more likely. When it kicked off we started like a house on fire and Montenegro looked very second rate.

I did say we would draw the game and at 3.5 it was a decent shout, but the 1-1 or 0-0 I thought it might end up was never going to happen though. Just when I thought the game was settling down Darren Bent rounds off a decent move that looked all too easy.

The sending off means Rooney will miss vital games and so going close in Euro 2012 doesn't now look a real possibility.
