true, its a game of soccerball, anything can happen, especially in the cauldron of Anfield. Pity its not under the lights, I think that makes a big difference to the atmosphere.

I was expecting a caldron of noise and huge banners. What happened?
tv microphones are geared towards the voices of the commentators, so crowd noise doesnt seem as loud as it actually is. And banners were prevalent pre kick off, but cant fly them during the game as no one behind them would be able to see the game

liverpool without 4 world class players. Its a hollow victory for Mancheaty Cheaty stained with the bitter taste of corruption. Will they bribe the appeals panel ? nothing short of kicked out of the football league will suffice.

How sweet it is. They came to bury Caesar, only to find out he is alive and well and will continue pounding them into submission for years to come!
This is such a beautiful result. In so many ways.
Not least because it shows up what English football could be if the likes of Liverpool get their way. Dominance from the red cartel who aren't all that good.
I mean, 12 months ago we were looking at Liv as a shade above evens to win a second title in succession. Only thing is they have no clue. They bought Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike and now Barcola and they have gone backwards.
City come along, show you how to buy players and the haters can't hack it. Wonderful to witness.

City's original cheating in edwardian times led to the growth of man utd, who snapped up players when Citeh were forced to auction their squad.
So who knows what the unintended consequences of this recent cheating will be

Manager was paid in illegal manner, how would we know players were not also?
Players simply wouldn't be there without cheating...

There is 1 ref based in Merseyside. He's never officiated Liverpool or Everton as he is not allowed.
There are 3 Manc refs. Taylor, Kavanagh & Tierney. They've refereed Utd or City 209 times.
After the Prem look into City they need to look into the PGMOL.

You've got to feel for Man City. Even if they did what they were accused of, all they did was inflate their sponsorship closer to the levels enjoyed by the red cartel through the same period.
From the faux furore this has generated you'd think they had at least been playing 12 men, paid off refs, and kidnapped opposition manager's first born sons.

too much money in footbalcl now. where there is money, there is corruption. gone are the days when top teams buy players from northampton (phil neal) scunthorpe ( clemence, keegan) emlyn (blackpool)

The commission didn't find that City's sponsorship was really 119m, they found that that was what the sponsors actually paid. Not the same thing. They found that the owners made up the balance and that was effectively an equity injection and not revenue as it was disguised as. The FFP rules are all based on revenue. When it comes to punishing City the 119m figure is used to assess how much they broke the rules by as that is the only genuine revenue they got from sponsors. The sponsorship was prob worth 500m+ in real market value terms but that's not what they actually got from sponsors.

Richard Masters was no doubt dreaming about City turning up at the red half of Merseyside today and getting a right caning. Instead the City bus avoids the assembled LFC knuckleheads by taking a back road. And the home team are so poor they get hammered.
Even the famous Kop banners are full of quotations from Oasis songs. As no band from Liverpool have been relevant since The Las made their one and only album in 1987. Unless you count the Zutons. Which no one in their right mind is.
And the greatest irony of all is that if Liv fans get their way and City's titles get stripped (from the years up to 2018) then the League title pecking order reads.. United 22 Liv 21.
Bow down to your Manchester Overlords..
You have to wonder about today.I mean...Richard Masters was no doubt dreaming about City turning up at the red half of Merseyside today and getting a right caning.Instead the City bus avoids the assembled LFC knuckleheads by taking a back road. And th
I understand that City have possibly/probably transgressed the financial rules as per the Premier League ...
I assume these rules are in place to stop Team X buying all the best players in the world, so as to keep the League competitive? Do these same rules apply to PSG, Barca, Real Madrid in their respective leagues? I genuinely don't know....also if not, would that not make them unfairly strong in the European Cup competitions?

Thelatarps obviously fishing and on the wind up here, defending a bunch of frauds. Not the players fault of course but justice for the crooked behaviour of the club cannot come soon enough.
Far be it for me to defend the Reds but there was nothing in the game until the sending off. City had 4 shots on target, 3 were the goals all of which came after the dismissal. So they were well on top for the last half hour, but against ten men of course
Well done on City sneaking in without being seen, a metaphor for the last two decades i'd say
btw, why do you think the banners quoted Oasis songs ffs ? Duh !

Yeah, it's pretty comprehensive, and whilst top leagues have their own versions of rules, there's the 70% UEFA that is stricter than premier league rules.

History would've been a complete different animal if liverpool had accepted the dic offer back in 2007 and done a 'city'. Instead of taking on the poisoned duo of hicks n gillett
Klopp fanzine mag 'Der Spiegel' would've just hushed up all of the allegations under the carpet and any shenanigans wouldvd never seen the light of day.
Who knows.. we could all been talkin about liverpool the Quad winners, playing in their new, brand new spanking stadium. Instead of them still playing in evertons hand me down, getting beat 3-0 at home.
Oh well, never mind.

Any Liverpool fans question the keeper? I thought he could've done better. One shot was not in the corner, one nowhere near it (admittedly hard shots) and one went underneath him. I realise Pool were weakened through injury, and that the harsh sending off left them with an uphill task.
