Nobody doubts his talent, but top Premier League clubs care about image, they care about image because they care about money, money from sponsors, advertisers, branding associates etc, the last thing they'd want to do is be associated with him and his image, putting aside sexual assault true or not, he came across as an absolute n0b head in that video, that's why the FA also told him he's not playing for England, so he went to play for Jamaica. Recently saw a clip of him hitting his girlfriends leg in a photo shoot for his new club, just comes across as a real pr1ck all round.

He rightly chose to play for Jamaica recently, but not until he was told that he would not play for England by Thomas Tuchel.
He does not come a cross as a nob head at all, probably the opposite and is a respoonsible father of two.

There is no reason at all why this excellent footballer should not be playing for an English PL club. There have been plenty of false allegations made against footballers out there (and some genuine ones of course)

First place I'd always look after this kind of incident is to the reaction of the "victims" dad as he would already have an idea about the bloke involved and in this case the dad did not want to rip the blokes head off, instead he said it was a load of BS, which tells us quite a lot.

Secondly I look to the authorities and here we saw that the CPS basically laughed at it.

Finally I look to how the "victim" has recovered subsequently and in this case we see that she is living with her alleged assaulter and their two kids. UMMM.

I'm not saying he is a r@pist.

I'm saying based on the audio, he just seems like a bit of n0b, and explaining why image conscious clubs, especially Premier League glamour clubs, have no interest in him, the fan backlash would also be huge.

We do have the Partey case to look forward to that has actually gone to court and who Arsenal were more than happy to play in their team whilst in full knowledge of the charges, truly shocking stuff.

He was also banned from entering Canada for the World Cup.

Greenwood and Partey were both entitled to carry on playing as you are innocent until proven guilty.

But Greenwood was finished at United with that leaked Audio as putting aside guilt/innocence, his reputation was tarnished due his words/behaviour in the audio, that was one thing that was proven.

I thought the video was absolutely nothing, well apart from a pre meditated attempt at recording and stitching him up and then the leaking of, which has basically destroyed his career to what it could have been, what do we think that says about Greenwood as a person that he has chosen to remain and build a life with her.

If it was nothing then why did United basically wash their hands of him and why do no Premier League clubs want to touch him with a barge pole, his reputation in this country is irreparable, which is why he's ended up in Turkey when in talent terms he should be at a top club in England or Spain or Italy.

That's an easy one, because although it was nothing we all know what the whole point of releasing it was supposed to be about, it was suggestive and in the modern world that is all it takes to destroy someone and as you said yourself, any wiff of anything, however spurious is enough for any club to run a mile

Greenwood wasn't dropped because of an accusation, it was all that went with it with the tape.

Partey was refused entry to Canada because he wrote that he had no outstanding charges on his visa application form which was clearly untrue.
Mendy had similar allegations to Partey, was charged, suspended, eventually acquitted and successfully sued City for 11m in unpaid wages. Partey was not even charged when at Arsenal, so the club did not act inappropriately in not suspending him.
Greenwood's case is different because she revealed it was him publicly from the very start and the club felt it had to act. A player is not normally named publicly until he's charged and that's when clubs normally act but the precedent set by Mendy's compo case complicates that for clubs.

Everything about Greenwood's case aside from the initial social media posts by her is inconsistent with his guilt (father's reaction, statements from police and united re further evidence, withdrawal of allegations by her, getting back with and having kids with her alleged coercive controller) but he's still untouchable in a toxic way for it to be even close to worthwhile for any PL side to sign him.

Never mind my opinion of him being a n0b, you really can't see why image conscious, reputationally sensitive, multi billion pound businesses would not want their brand to be associated with him in this country?

I've dealt with that in my post at 15.21, yes she ruined him but he has obviously forgiven her, unfortunately that isn't enough for the Rachel Riley fan club who can't see that this shows that he is anything but a n0b and therefore he isn't allowed to get past it, mud sticks, the truth can't wash it away in the modern image conscious world.

Not saying that I've come to any conclusions regarding those patterns though.

So am I. Mendy's the only one who has been to trial so far and was acquitted on all charges so what is the pattern you see?
