Any word on how Dragon is doing?

Glad to hear Dragon is doing well.

Hi all and thanks for the thread Eric and your concerns around my well being.

As SB said im doing ok, I am still on the hormone treatment which reduces your tetesterone which the cancer feeds off. I have another injection on 16 th July which lasts for 3 months.

I start my radiotherapy treatement which lasts for 20 cosecutive days at the Macmillian cancer cente in Macclesfield - Mon -Fri on 20 th July. It is due to conclude on 14 August.

The treatment i have had on this journey has been outstanding -effecient , fast and with the appropiate levels of care and understanding the NHS in my experience with regard to this is amazing. The nurses and consutants have all been wonderful.

I then have to wait for 6 months for everything to settle down for another PSA test to see if its worked.

Its been a long journey with unpleasant side effects but hopefully it will be worth it in the end.

When i had my failed operation for the prostrate removal i met some amazing guys in hospital who had so much worse condition and outlook than me. Their fortitude and attitude were humbling and will remain with me for the rest of my life. Enjoy life !!!!!

I have quite a bit of fatigue so i am not as active as i used to be but that will pass in time.

The world cup has been great - cmon England and im looking forward to the start of the footy season as always.

Good luck with your remaining bets in  the world cup. Just going to have a study of the horses at Newmarket to see if i can find a few winners!!!

All I can say due to some recent issues I have had myself is thank the lord for the NHS

Good to hear The Dragon is getting his old smoke/fire back.

A real stalwart of this Forum.

A proper old skool football fan - on the terrace, in the smoke filled bookies with a printed long list with games that kicked off at 3pm Saturday, drinking in pubs without Sky Screens, looking in TVs in shop windows for 5pm scores or listening on a transistor radio.
