How can a team be as bad as the argies were for an hour then so dominant for the rest of the game ? Best team won in the end.
Hopefully they try to play football against Spain and we get a cracker of a final. Tommy Tuchel will have some real questions to answer, Southgate would have been crucified for going full on defensive like that. |

The 1st half was cagie. When England scored it forced the Argies to play and after that there was only team going into the final.
Whing all ye want but Kane and Bellingham were diablical. Gordon done his bit but is an extremeley limited winger. BBC harping on about Spences tackle. IMHO a good defender never allows that amount of space |

England shocking after they took the lead, and they were not that great before it. Argentina by far the best team. They had the one class act who made an impact. Nothing of any note from either Bellingham or Kane. Questionable substitutions from the manager. I know Rashford struggles with the end product, but at least he has the legs. The ball was just coming back with no outlet whatsoever. You would have thought we might have coped with an aerial threat, but obviously not. Another to add to the long list of disappointments. Not good enough yet again.

What they are saying on tv is correct. went in front and then just sat back, lets hold on, lets hold on and the obvious happened, they scored 1 and then another and then we tried to attack. Manager obvious to blame, simply because we tried to hang on to a 1-0 win.

Yes, the manager wasn't great with the substitutions, but he wasn't playing. The players on the day weren't good enough. The so called best players didn't turn up. It's always the same reaction, the manager takes the stick for poor performances from the players.

Ultimately a bottle job. Kane should have been substituted if it was a case of shutting up shop and someone with pace played up front. Media darling Rice missing again in a big game. As bad as Bellingham was at least he did the business in previous games. Anderson spent the whole game falling to the ground looking for free kicks, as he usually does. All leaders on the Argie team. Not one on that England side in the second half. All Kane did all night was run to the referee at every decision.
