All this nonsense about Japan beating Brazil tomorrow..... Brazil will win in the 90. This isn't the best Brazil side of all time but they are certainties tomorrow

Wouldn't call them certainties, but, yes, Brazil will qualify, imo.

I am going to lay Japan, as long as I like the side Brazil start with.
If Mitoma was around I would give this one a miss.

Japan are never anything different at any World Cup, they always look the same, they trade off of being high energy, good pressing team, nifty little players barely over 5ft tall, good passers and movers but no single player ever has what you would call Top Quality, game changers, they are like the Asian version of Mexico, they're both groups stage/2nd round sort of teams historically, the latter never making the quarters. Mexico went on this bizarre run of being KO'd in the 2nd round in seven World Cups in a row, before falling in the groups last time round.

Think Nippon will huff and puff and put up a good fight for 70 minutes, before Brazil blow their house down with a couple of late Vinicius goals.

Kind Regards.

First I asked for a graphic then I asked for some humour to be added based on Brazil loving to party and the Japs being well organised.

A haiku for the match:

Blue shirts dance like rain
Japan move with quiet grace
Night trembles with goals

Japan not starting with Ao Tanaka from Leeds.

Japan XI: Suzuki, Taniguchi, Hiroki Ito, Tomiyasu, Ritsu Doan, Maeda, Keito Nakamura, Ito, Kamada, Sano, Ayase Ueda

dont think this Brazilian team is as good as the 90s and early 2000s versions. Feels like Brazils price is there more on reputation. They could very well go on to win but it may be a game that goes to Extra Time/penalties.

I've gone for BTTS at around evens. Won't be surprised if it goes to penalties.  Anyway, hopefully we'll see a good game.

Christina to get a VAR Call totally wrong, but come up with some impossibly convoluted and fallacious "reason" why the VAR could've gone the other way but decided it wasn't clear and obvious enough for them to intervene -  1.04.
