Perhaps we're slow burners.
Hope we are. |

so lethargic first half witch is not really excusable but none of it matters much..
|
|
By:
weve now had 2 england coaches and 5 players telling us how dangerous PANAMA are, theyve just gone 5 hrs without scoring, the only team out of 48 to fail
|

*which even..though some witchcraft may be required..

micah richards who i dont mind just said he had a great game , staggering
fella talks a load of nonsense. |
|

my only worries going forward are
pickford the entire back 4,including oreilly all 4 widemen elliot been atttracted to and running past the ball, better teams will crucify him |
|

3 awful first halves in a row. And big teams esp France and Arg will be looking at the last 2 games and will play on the counter against England. They're not going to leave themselves open to the counter, not that England are that good on the counter anyway. The defending by Croatia was atrocious.
Overall look as ineffective in attack as under Southgate and not as strong defensively. |

imagine been englands 4 wide men in last 2 games doing everything wrong time and time again, and jude jogs out wide bit of composure and plonks a cross on kanes head, and the 4 clowns havnt come even close to doing it in about 50 attempts between them

Poor overall, couple of moments got s over the line against a poor side.
The worry is that wasn't a team in a low block either, they had a go and gave us room to play, but it took forever to fashion a moment of quality. The warning signs are there that we are vulnerable to the counter, better sides will be able to pass through us as Tuchel fancies us in a tear up and we don't seem to have much protection in there....I don't want Ghana and Panama to have counters against us, I want the 116 million pound Anderson stopping those moments and I didn't even hear his name mentioned in the second half tonight. |

brazil put 6 past them last month, could've had 10.
|
|
By:
116m feels a lot on performances like that..though plenty of others looking more Aldi than M&S ...
|
|
By:
I think Anderson plays too far forward as a 6.
Probably takes maresca to sort him, Don't like 6s taking corners, if wingers cannot cross the ball then wtf |
|
By:
Well with modern wingers ...not always a lot of crossing going on so if he's a good dead ball 'deliverer' fair enough.. someone fills in defensive role on corners..no doubt DECLAND will be back on 'em..at Forest he looks as though he can play 6 or 8 or both even depending on systems but you wouldn't have spotted a player of that value tonight (not unique to him)..
|
|
By:
Looked an 8/10 developing at Newcastle, but also a strong tackler.
Does well at times for forest as a 6, but was caught out multi times at sjp. Not only gets caught out but compresses the play so strangling own team. |

England's defence is as fragile as France's.
How many times did poor finishing or good fortune save England's clean sheet last night. The big boys won't waste those opportunies. |

you can add portugal and germany to defenive woes, portugal literally send invations out for teams to attack them down theior left side, mendy been on easy street piling forward at PSG,
mindboggling to think with RICE on the pitch in EPL terms with JUDE,SAKA,ANDERSON,KANE and ROGERS on the pitch we have 6 X 100million quid players, + 80 million guhei/gordon and 350 grand a week rashford and still manage to look like a pub team at times |
