Yeah, these early hours games with obscure countries must have the lowest TV ratings in WC history. Jordan v Algeria at 3AM probably set the record.

The NFL crushes everything else in US TV ratings, not just other sports but any drama, comedy shows too.

Ok, I got on overs at 2.2. Hopefully better than that absolute dross that was served up earlier.

Looking it up seems the USA v Paraguay game got 18M viewers, which is higher than the average for NFLs Monday Night Football, though a few million lower than the Sunday night game.

So that's pretty impressive. Be interesting to see whether that number can grow much in the knockout rounds. NFL playoff games get 40M+.

My interest bet dead on arrival.

Panama have all this energy and ambition, but woeful lack of quality when they get near opponent's goal.

Maybe if you add up everyone who saw a clip of the goals on YouTube you could boost it into hundreds of millions.

Obviously didn't see the Panama v Ghana game where Panama went all out and Qurioz parked the bus. Panama are an attacking team, just not very good at it.

no problem at all with whatever form a pundit line up takes, just seems a bit rich to talk about mens pundits invading the womens game and now we have this mens match where its all women pundits. it makes no difference what the make up is, but if its made an issue that it should be women pundits in the womens game then surely that means it should be men in the mens

I've never liked Keown ever since when he was at Everton, he booted the legend Kevin Sheedy in the face when KS was on the ground following a disagreement between the two on a "team bonding" night (i.e drinking session). Nasty thing to do, KS had a right old shiner and it all got in the papers.

Pat Nevin was at Everton at the time and he has said that Keown was widely disliked by the other players.

Worst day of the tournament so far. Some shocking performances and surely none of these teams we've seen today can go very far in this tournament. Hopefully Wednesday will provide some entertaining football, is that too much to ask for?
